The square shapes are very simplistic and helped draw more attention to the door itself. It’s a very good set if you’d like more attention elsewhere. Quality / Durability: 5/5 This is a very solid set. It feels secure, and the material is strong. It should last a long time, and the quality is very good for the price it is. Function: 5/5 The door works well. It locks, it’s secure, and it’s comfortable to open and close. I’d recommend it for anyone who needs a very simplistic lock in both function and aesthetics. This a deadbolt system only. There is no locking mechanism for the door handle. Just a reminder because I didn't notice that until install...but I'm happy with it. I give it 5 stars for quality of the metal and the paint...it looks great and works great. But I deducted a half-star for the quality instructions that did leave me in a minor puzzle. Some of the photos with the instructions of inventory, didn't match the nail/bolt/screws in the box. But, it wasn't hard to figure out because I've replaced locks before...but it left me trying each long screw in each screw slot. In the end, they were all the same size and fit every screw slot. I removed the old deadbolt and door handle, installed the new one in less than 30 minutes. Kudos to the manufacturer for the bottom of the handle...that requires a hole to bolt the bottom to the door. My door already had a hole previous and they didn't line up....BUT...the bolt on the bottom of the handle, that goes through the door, has a height adjustment to fit different hole-to-hole distances. So don't sweat the par. Overall, I think it looks great, built well, and will last for years. The deadbolt comes with 3 matching schlage style keys, and an extra of each screw. There is also a overlay map included to help determine where holes should go and you can mark the door to drill. I'm sure it will come in handy for a novice but I wouldn't buy a new door that wasn't pre-drilled for a deadbolt and handle. Definately a DIY project I enjoyed.
