Excellent - must buy
These are high quality/heavy/yellow zinc chromate treated. With this set i quickly replaced so many bolts in my car engine and interior. Just buy this it will more than pay for itself than buying individual bolts/nuts both in terms of money spent as well as time saved.

Worth the Money
It seems like I am always driving to the hardware store to buy 1/4" and 3/8" bolts, nuts and washers for different projects I work on. These connectors would cost me a lot more to purchase individually. The time and money I save having this bolt kit within easy reach is well worth the purchase price. All things considered, I am likely to purchase this kit again, when I start to run low. MRC

Used these all over the El Camino to keep it held together, from grill to carburetor.
They seem like really strong bolts for their size. We've been using them in place of every bolt we can't find from the El Camino restoration project. It seems like we used a good many and barely put a dent in the box. they're probably overkill on strength for what we're doing, but I think everything will be super held together.

Convenient nut / washer / bolt assortment for home workshop use
This 700 piece assortment includes 85 M4 hex bolts (12-30 mm length), 50 M5 hex bolts (16-30 mm length) and 40 M6 hex bolts (16-40 mm length) plus corresponding flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts. The bolt threads are cleanly cut, the corresponding nuts thread cleanly with no binding, and the flat and lock washers have no sharp edges. The hardware items have corrosion-resistant yellow zinc coatings; the coating is uniform and covers completely. The assortment is convenient for home workshop projects and repairs, especially since it includes lock washers (missing from many other assortments). The hardware arrives packaged in a compartmented latching plastic case; the case lid includes a textual index. The plastic case is cellophane wrapped for no-spill shipping. The plastic case is cushioned inside a poly-bubble sealed envelope during shipping. The five dollar coupon current offer sweetens the price.IMO there is confusion about the steel used in this hardware assortment. The product web page cites "Grade 8.8 Metric", one web page photo references "SAE Grade 8", the case index references "Grade 8 Heavy Duty", and the bolt hex heads are stamped "8.8". I am not a metallurgist, but the confusion is that ISO 898-1 metric standards reference "Class #.#" while SAE J429 inch standards reference "Grade #". According to the bolt head stampings these bolts are fabricated from ISO 898-1 Class 8.8 alloy steel which is equivalent to SAE J429 Grade 5 alloy steel, sufficiently strong for home workshop use. Vehicular applications utilize SAE J429 Grade 8 alloy steel which is equivalent to ISO 898-1 Class 10.9 alloy steel, a stronger grade of steel. I'd use this hardware assortment in home workshops but not for vehicular applications.

I would have never bought these if I knew they came from China
Nothing but junk comes out of china and they should be ashamed to claim they have any metal considered grade 8. I think your supposed to divide the first number by the second number to find the strength of the metal. These strip as easily as the rest of the Chinese bolts

Good assortment of small metric nuts and bolts for home repairs
A good assortment of small metric nuts, bolts, and washers (both lock and flat). Zinc coated. Grade 8.8 which translates to SAE 5. In other words: mild steel, perfectly suitable for many home repairs but in my opinion not suitable for significant dynamic loads, machinery or automotive applications beyond license plate holders.I could wish the label was printed on coated paper -- it won't hold up. I covered mine with clear shipping tape. Parts come in a pretty decent storage box, and was certainly well packaged for shipping. All in all, a good collection of small nuts and bolts that'll save me trips to the hardware store.
