Great Value TV
We bought the 43" for our bedroom, and honestly couldn't be happier. We did not experience any issues with cracked screens or discoloration, and the TV came packaged in the TV box and then padded and put into another box, which I felt was definitely high quality shipping/packing. I couldn't tell in any way that the unit was refurbished. As for the TV itself, the picture is perfectly adequate. It is not anything to rave about (we have a $1000+ 65" that has much better picture quality) but for a $200 tv it's really pretty good. Audio is likewise fine, but as with most TVs the sound would be better if hooked up to external speakers or a soundbar. The TV itself is very light and easy to move around, and the base has a very small footprint, so it will be easy to put wherever we need to.I like the Roku interface, and am familiar with it. I also like that it matches up with the apps/channels I have configured on my other Roku devices, and that I can control the TV using the Roku app on my iPhone. This TV does use the Roku remote, so keep that in mind if planning on using the Over the Air Antenna, as it doesn't have traditional number buttons on it.Overall, I am very happy with this TV - especially the price. We may actually get another one for our guest room.

An absolute bargain all the way around; excellent kitchen, bedroom, or small room TV.
First, I could not tell that this was a refurbished product. It appeared to be completely brand new to me.I put this TV in my kitchen to de-clutter my counter tops. I had a smaller TV on the counter top, and it was hooked up to an external Roku box. This new set up is just so much better and cleaner. I did buy an articulating wall mount as well for about $16. The TV is quite light, so a rather small wall mount worked just fine (just make certain you hit a wall stud when you mount anything like this.)Ok, onto the TV itself.Picture Quality:For me, picture quality is really what matters, and I have to say that I'm impressed with this TV. It's hard to believe it's "only" 720p; I honestly cannot tell the difference in image quality between this and my 4K television, which really makes me question why I spent so much on my main living room TV. The colors are also excellent on this TCL. I am quite impressed with its image quality, black level, and overall color. I would absolutely not hesitate to buy a TCL set in the future and save some money versus one of the "big name" brands.Functionality/integration with Roku:Having the Roku OS built right into a TV is simply brilliant. I would definitely recommend this, and I would buy another Roku TV in the future. It's incredibly easy to set up and use. Roku is just a great smart TV platform (the best, in my opinion). Also, and this is cool: you can control the TV with your smart phone or tablet via Roku's app, so if you don't like the little Roku remote, or just want to stash it in a drawer, you can do that!It can take a few seconds for video to fully buffer and be clear, but I think that's just normal for the most part with any streaming TV. This will also depend on your Internet speeds, of course. It works just fine for me with only 25Mbps service.Sound:Everyone complains about sound quality on LCD TVs, but I actually think this one isn't bad. Sure, the quality isn't that great compared a real sound system, but this is probably going to be your kitchen or bedroom TV and for that the sound is more than sufficient. It actually gets incredibly loud, much louder than most flat panels. I do have the TV mounted in the air, so perhaps that makes it louder. The speakers are downfiring speakers, so maybe having the TV just on its own stand does make the sound worse. I'm not really sure.Aesthetics: I actually think it's quite straightforward and simple. There's nothing impressive about it, but there's also nothing ugly or offensive about it. I'm totally fine with that. I actually don't like how some of the higher end TVs have tried to look better by adding two-tones bezels, or whatever. To me, I just want the whole thing black so nothing stands out and distracts.

Best price/value ratio around
If you are an audio or video "phile", this isn't going to be your choice. But if you want something that is the heart and soul of simplicity, a breeze to set up, a decent picture, acceptable sound, with an idiot proof remote at a price that you almost can't afford not to pay, this is your baby. I have two. They work seamlessly. Even guests to my home, who get the guest bedroom with one of these in it have no trouble accessing the various services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Sling, etc.). Love this. Highly recommend. Buy with confidence.

good for the buck
Beacuse its 720p on a larger display it looks a little bit low quality but if you are 5-10ft from it you can see a prety clear picture. soud quality is good but i would get a soundbar. btw it does not have a headphone jack in the remote

Great, affordable tv
Wow! It's been 5 years since I last purchased a tv and this is a secondary tv for my home. It is super lightweight and easy to set up. I already had a Roku for my other tv so it aligned the same channels to the new one. It also gave me the Roku channel which has many classic movies and tv shows for free. I haven't decided if I'm going to mount it to the wall as the mount I bought seem overkill for this unit as it's so light. For the price and ease, I might purchase another!

Great value, perfect for dorm/bedroom
To start, I am a big fan on the Roku interface and remote. It is very intuitive and simple. I bought this for my dorm initially and now keep it in my bedroom as I move. There are 3 HDMI ports, including one ARC. I have had few complaints with it in the year+ that I've owned it. The only of which include the feet. I prefer TV's with a central base rather than the two feet on either side. The only other complaint is that one three separate occasions, the TV has turned on in the middle of the night, waking me up. Not sure if its the TV or just the shadow monsters trying to watch Netflix.
