Quiet your door latch!
It helps to quiet a door opening and closing. Instead of metal hitting metal, it’s metal contacting soft plastic. Works great. If you are expecting “noise cancelling technology,” yes, you will be disappointed. It may not be silent, but it makes a big difference. Also, a reviewer said their door didn’t securely latch after installation. Wait about a day and everything will “settle in” and the door will latch securely again.Am glad I gave this a shot.

Didn’t work at all
No noticeable sound dampening. Door still slammed just as loudly as always.

Must buy
I am very pleased with these. The plates are essentially rubber. I have no idea how long they will last but I don’t care. I’d be happy to replace them on a periodic basis as they work well. Not sure what other material options there are. In terms of the security of the latch, doesn’t seem an issue with me. Maybe someone could force a door open. I have these on interior doors that don’t need to be super secure. Maybe it would be an issue in an exterior door. This said, I’d risk being murdered to quiet my families inability to close doors quietly at midnight!

It is exactly what I expected
I ordered 2 of the white Door Silencer Strike Plates. They are as easy to install as any strike plate and do quiet the latch closing of the door. I added felt pads around the door noise is from the door hitting the jam as well as the clock of the latch. Both doors are much quieter. The plastic is flexible but seems sturdy. Obviously a metal plate will be more durable but I think these will hold up fine if they aren’t abused.

Enjoy the silence
Honestly, this has been a game changer in our house. After my son moved to a downstairs bedroom with his own separate bathroom, we realized how loud the latches were on both doors. He seems to only have one setting when it comes to closing doors: Forcefully. And for me to tell him to close the door softly felt like micro-managing. So I thought, there must be a solution to this - and sure enough, these rubbery latches are the solution. The doors are virtually silent now. The amount of noise coming from that part of the house has dramatically decreased. These rubber latches are worth their weight in gold as far as I'm concerned.

Didn't fit properly and hindered the door from closing properly.
Didn't work for me. Didn't fit properly and hindered the door from closing properly. I did use the 2 little rubber stoppers that were included.

Nice idea, but not quite as good as it's made out to be.
The idea behind this is sound. But it doesn't feel well made. I think it's just been run off on a 3-D printer, so it feels like a prototype rather than a proper commercial product. It also needed me to do just a little more tweaking of the door jamb with a marking knife and a sharp chisel that I expected, to make room for the little bit of movement in its workings. It doesn't look good as it stands, so I'm going to paint it, and I'm not throwing away the old striking plate, as I have my doubts about how robust it's going to prove to be.So, in summary, nice idea, but needs to be better made.

Best thing EVER!
OMG! What a lifesaver! My bathroom door woke everyone up at night with the latching sound. I have a 50 Year old home and these were a little thick for the gap between door and frame, (I could probably still adjust the hinges a little bit ) so we now have to press quite firmly for the door to close completely. However! The bonus is that the grippy silicone actually holds the door in place (which used to swing open because I have an over-the-door hanger on the back with towels which used to swing open If not, pressed completely closed with that annoying loud clicking sound) because I have an over-the-door hanger on the back with towels- without having to push it all the way closed. If you felt like you needed to lock the bathroom door then pushing the door all the way (at least on my tight fitting door) might be a " problem" for you. But in my house when the bathroom door is closed, no one goes in, so the need to push it the last 1/3- 1/2" or lock it is unnecessary. Different door jamb widths (Read the description and instructions) could be important for you. But I am in LOVE with this thing!
