I have been using this alarm radio for more than a year and it has been dependable. Battery backup is great. I only set the time when the time zone changes. I have one complaint, as is usual for these small alarm radios. The radio volume is blasting when the alarm goes off. I had to install a volume control before the speaker to reduce the volume. Now it is perfect. I like to wake up to soft music and if I do not wake up I have a separate alarm clock that beeps to make sure I wake up. Ideally an alarm radio should have this function built-in, Soft radio music and a backup alarm about 4 or 5 minutes later. This one does not have it, and I have seen few radio alarms that do. Otherwise this radio is fine. The FM reception is better than most radios. My previous radio was mechanical and I needed to readjust the radio tuning a few time a year. This one locks on the radio station which is not very strong, and I have never needed to do any kind of tuning or moving the radio to improve reception. The speaker is small and is not great quality, but is good enough for an alarm radio. If you could set the radio alarm volume I would give it 5 stars.

This clock works well. I was sent one that had been opened and operated already. The cord and antennae were haphazardly coiled and there was a layer of dust on the front and top of the clock. I would hate to send it as a gift when it had already been used.

Never figured on how to operate this piece of junk.

I have this beside my bed and love it. I can dim the time display so it's not too bright during bedtime. also the radio can receive AM and FM, which is important to me. The reception is also nice and clear.

Very loud for such a little thing! Also very easy to manipulate, and it's not too bright for the bedroom.
