Great value. Very good performance.
Sturdy, accurate construction, this 6 inch hole saw cannot be beat for the price, and it is probably equal to more more expensive name brands. I have used it several times to cut holes in 5/8 - 3/4 inch sheetrock to install light fixtures. It cut smoothly and quickly in a 1/2 inch drill. If you are careful, it would likely do the same in 1/2 inch plywood, but, for safety reasons, I would have to think twice before attempting sheet metal. Comes with bit and handy Allen key. Add a sturdy half inch drill motor and you are set.

Performed wonderfully and clean cutting.
Workhorse to cut through very hard wood that was about 1.25 inches thick... the spring attachment was extremely helpful to help pop out the pieces of plug left over (where is this in all the other brands?!). Recommend for the price and performance.

I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but wasn't!
This tool does a really good job of minimizing the mess associated with cutting holes in the ceiling for recessed lighting. The saw is designed with large holes in the back, so it is easy to see drill-center locations from below. And. although this is not made in the US, it cuts a hole that is exactly 6.25".To be fair, the Halo lights that I was installing should really have had a 6.375" hole, so the holes being cut by this saw were a bit snug. I was surprised when I found that I could bend every other tooth out a bit, to make it a better fit. If this had been made of hardened steel, as I expected, this would not have been possible. Still, it works great on sheetrock, though, I don't expect it to stay sharp for long with this temper.

Functionally great, but good luck with disassembly once used
This worked exactly as it should, and cut a nice clean hole in a 3/4" piece of plywood. Due to the way it attaches to the chuck that goes into your drill (it screws on), once you've used it, it gets screwed on extremely tight and I don't think I can get enough leverage to loosen it without risking damaging it. This isn't a huge deal, it still works as expected, it just makes storage harder and I know some pricier versions of this tool have a better attachment mechanism that is designed to account for this problem.Regardless, for this item's very reasonable price, I'm satisfied, and it did exactly what I bought it for, which was cutting a hole in some shelves for the hood exhaust fan hose to pass through.

Good value!
It is a nice heavy product. $40 everywhere else and the quality not as good as this one.

Good quality but not quite big enough for a 6" can light
Good quality, cut well but was not the right size for a 6" halo can light. It wouldn't have been a big deal but I had 3/4" wood backing behind the drywall. Not being the right size describe for a 6" can light made the job harder than it should of been.
