Bahco 1-478-08-1-2 File Set, 5-Piece

I purchased this set of files for general shop use. I have found that they are worthy of their reputation. I initially selected them as an alternative as I was unable to find a set manufactured in the U.S., which is important to me. So far they have performed well and I’m very satisfied with their performance. Sure, they cost a little more but you get what you pay for. So far, I’ve used them on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and some plastics to good effect. I like the handles. They are comfortable and provide the hand with adequate purchase for repetitive use. I think they are worth the price and are a good value for producing professional results.

These files are nice and sharp and you get a full set for not too much money. If you've been using bottom tier files you don't know what you're missing.

These files are sharp! They cut better than any other brand i have owned. Just wish this set included a more fine cut file instead of 2 coarse files.

He estado utilizando el juego de limas Bahco 1-478-08-1-2 juego de limas en trabajos de ajuste, acabado y desbaste, y en general me ha dejado una muy buena impresión en cuanto a calidad y funcionalidad. Lo primero que destaca es el material de las limas. El metal se percibe de buena calidad y durable, con un corte eficiente que permite trabajar diferentes superficies de forma precisa. Mantienen bien el filo con el uso normal, lo que habla bien de su fabricación y tratamiento. Los mangos ergonómicos son otro punto fuerte. Son cómodos, ofrecen buen agarre y permiten trabajar con control, algo importante cuando necesitas precisión o estás en tareas repetitivas. Este detalle mejora bastante la experiencia de uso y reduce la fatiga. En cuanto al desempeño general, cumplen muy bien en distintas aplicaciones: desde trabajos más finos hasta desbastes moderados. Es un set versátil y confiable para tener en el taller. Como punto a mejorar, considero que el empaque podría ser mejor. Sería ideal que incluyera una funda o estuche en tela resistente o material más robusto, que facilite el almacenamiento y transporte, además de proteger mejor las herramientas. El empaque actual cumple, pero se queda corto frente a la calidad del producto. Conclusión: Un juego de limas bien construido, ergonómico y efectivo, ideal para trabajos de ajuste y acabado. Destaca por la calidad del material y la comodidad de uso, aunque podría mejorar en presentación y almacenamiento. ¿Lo volvería a comprar? Sí, sin duda. Es un set que cumple muy bien en el día a día y ofrece una buena relación entre calidad y funcionalidad.

Not labeled. You have to look at the pattern to decide how rough or smooth they are. I guess it is a European pattern, as they don't seem to match "bastard" or "smooth" patterns that I have seen. None seem to operate quite as aggressively as a flat bastard. They are of good quality, and have nice handles on every file (some sets have one handle that is shared). Overall, very nice quality for a lower than industry standard price. I would recommend this product.

Great set. Good quality. Files are disposable don't over think it use it until its dull and replace.

Excellent files. Sharp and well made. I have some very expensive Japanese Engineer files and I actually like these better.

I use these for luthiery and they are an absolute necessity for carving necks. Comfortable, quick and cover's a wide range of needs regarding cut and shape.

Ottimo set di lime, comodo impugnatura fornita di asola che permette di appenderle ad una parete porta attrezzi se si dispone. Provate tutte, svolgono egregiamente il loro lavoro e considerando il costo unitario non siamo tanto lontani da quelle che si trovano nei brico ma decisamente peggiori come qualità. All'interno c'è anche una custodia in plastica morbida (un pò una ciofeca a dire il vero)

I’m not a file expert but have used several in my years for small jobs. This set to me seems of good quality. The handles are comfortable and each files seems solid. The brand I have read has a good following and has generally good reviews. The metal and machining for the patterns seems precise and looks like good engineering. They file wood with little effort. I think as a set for a homeowner and a DIY type of person, this is a good purchase. Recommended.

I bought these to replace some old ones that I've worn out over the years. There's some cheap sets on here, but you never know what you're going to get with them. Where as Bahco are just brilliant. This is a really versatile set. The only down side to this set for me was that I could have done with a triangle file too, but that's not a problem. But if you're looking for a brilliant set of quality files, then this is definitely the way to go.

En god grundläggande sats om fem högkvalitativa filar som är utmärkta för mindre filarbeten, när man inte vill plocka fram större verktyg. Ergo-handtagen är väl utformade och medger bra grepp utan att man blir trött i handen. Fodralet däremot kan man både ha och mista; om det åtminstone hade varit vävburen plast, hade det kanske kunnat hålla ett tag.
