Different part no. when restocked
Inconsistent product!I had previously purchased a panel from this vary page/seller which worked flawlessly with various Arduino libraries: "P4-2121-64*32-16S-HL1.1" was printed on the back with an esd logo. There was a cap between the power and daisy chain output connector. However when I placed another order months later the panel did not work. Mr research indicates that this non-working panel: P4-256*128-2121-A5 uses a very odd decoder chip "RUL5358" which is not documented anywhere. This panel does not have the esd symbol or cap so watch out.Update: The panel works but its very weird to the other panels. The RUL5358 is like the SM5266PH chip which controls the rows with both a shift register and binary deocoder (why god why?) Google "SHIFTREG_ABC_BIN_DE", looks for PxMatrix.h set_Mux function and you will find the low level code to drive it.Photo: top is the new one, bottom is the old working one (ignore the missing plastic frame, I removed that)
