Carboy Cleaner

This thing is amazing, but man do not throw the drill into full speed or it will terrify the crap out of you. I had some weird brown film on one of my carboys that never came off no matter how much soaking with every different cleaner/acid or those lousy bent carboy brushes. It had been on there so long that I thought my carboy just had slightly brown glass. But no this cleaned it right off and now it is shiny like new. I'm assuming it was beer stone because it was my oldest carboy. Just remember to go slow and steady!

Like others have said, the product could be great, but the fragile, hollow shaft makes the product unsuitable for the job. The shaft should be made solid like that of the tool used to mix drywall compound.My mistake was running the drill with the cleaner out of the carboy. I meant to spin some of the water off the sponges. After a few rotations (It was really a matter of 2-3 seconds), the cleaning head began to spin off-center and the force bent the shaft near the chuck. It's now unusable.A couple stars for a nifty idea, but this product needs to be improved. I'm going to buy a couple replacement sponges, adapt a drywall mixer, and make myself what this cleaner should have been from the beginning.

this straw with 2 pieces of material on is junk. This is made out of a piece of stanless steel tubing pinch on one end with a nut and screw holding the meterial on. There is no strength to this set up at all. they say use slow speed and you better because if you accidentally take the speed up a little the straw bends and now it junk. You can try and straighten it but when you go to use it again it bends right away. Trying to use this on slow speed hardly spreads the material out to hit the sides of the carboy. So i spent 25.00 for something that lasterd 5 minutes. and i konw they wont do right thing and refund my money. They should take look at the way paint mixer are made and build one to those spec. they run fast or slow and dont bend at medium speed.

worked nicely the first time. the metal rod bent on the second use. It's unusable now, unless I can find a replacement rod.

As other reviews have mentioned, the metal pole is hollow and will bend. Within one use it was a warped mess. I ended up taking the felt pieces and attaching them to a wine degasser I had (see image), now it works great!

Rocks! Just cleaned a carboy and a 2L starter flask. I wet it first with a little brew clean mix and I worked great. They are spotless. The first one I ordered looks like it was run over with a forklift or something. Super fast and easy return and the new one came undamaged. Would buy again.

Cleans carboys and Cornelius kegs very well! Much better than using a brush.

Seems like it will last and it did a pretty good job of cleaning my carboys. Easy enough to use and dries really fast with the drill.
