JUST WHAT WE NEEDED
Bought this as a short feeder hose to get from the spigot to the hose reel. Does the job just fine.

Good hose but rather stinky
Nice hose - its thick and feels well made. The connectors are wide with a large plastic covering making it really easy to fasten. The hose is a bit stinky though, its got this really intense plasticky smell that doesn't seem to be going away. It also seems to be exuding some soapiness to the water too. I noticed that the water that comes out from the hose has this weird slick feel to it with foamy water. What is it? Is it the residue from whatever is coating the inside of the hose? Is it going to harm my plants?

A nice garden hose for a smaller sized yard
I purchased this garden hose for my smaller sized front yard (approximately 1000 sq/ft). I was tired of using the newer compressible hoses as I had already had two that had broken. I went back to a traditional style hose and this one did not disappoint. The hose is fairly light weight, it is not ultralight, but that is to be expected for a hose of this type. The female end of the hose was very easy to screw on to my water spout. It has grips on both ends you firmly tighten and loosen connections to the hose. The hose also did well under pressure. My homes water pressure is roughly 80 PSI, which is on the high side, but this hose performed well.

Good, medium weight hose.
I was eager to give this a try, despite the cold weather we're still having in the Pacific Northwest. Why? Because the mid-day sun in the "high desert" has taken its toll on the hose we currently use. Since our hoses live on a side of the house that gets a lot of afternoon sun, they tend to weaken and lose their flexibility after a few years. That's to be expected.I would call this a medium high quality article. The connectors are first rate and make attaching the hose to a faucet and nozzle easy. As for the kink factor that people complain about; to some extent that occurs because the user fails to properly coil the house and sort of "train" the hose to to hang in a logical manner. My guess is that this hose, being of reasonably good quality will kink unless it's properly handled. The materials are mid-weight so it might be prone to wear from the sun, but it has a good, solid feel and should hold up for a few seasons. As far as I can tell, it's competitively priced.I only wish I'd ordered it in 50 feet as opposed to 25.
