I consider the mounting system as expensive...but it does work. I am still waiting for the base, but what I do have seems to work well.

Scanstrut makes using iPad as a chart plotter easy!
Scanstrut makes great products-really well designed and highly functional. They can adapt to just about any application. The combination of the screw-on mounting base, the adjustable mini body and the iPad holder made a perfect combination to mount my iPad on my boat’s helm dashboard and best of all I can adjust it for best angle of view. This is far superior to a fixed mounted chart plotter that I could barely see half the time. Live these products and they are a great value.
