KEEN Utility Men's Reno Mid Height Composite Toe Flexible Waterproof Athletic Work Boot

Very comfortable and solid
These are really comfortable work boots. Ithey did not take much breaking in and look and feel great, they have a flexible portion above the toes so if you are leaning down with your toes on the ground and your heels off the ground the boot flexes nicely. I have to go through metal detectors at work daily and these boots do not set the metal detector off so that is a huge bonus not having to remove them. I have not worn them in the mud or rain, so i will update if necessary. But they are good on ladders and commercial roofs, they are not slippery at all.

The Upgraded Version Of The Ridge Flex
I love the Ridge Flex boot. It goes on fast, fits well, plenty of room, laces close tight, and the boot is light. It's a polarizing design due to the Flex bellow; some people hate it, but I love it, especially in my line of work (driving full time). The problem with the Ridge Flex is it isn't slip or oil resistant. I nearly fell several times because the tread doesn't grip slick surfaces AT ALL. That's where the Reno comes in. As you can see in my photo, the Reno is nearly identical in design to the Ridge Flex; in my opinion, the lacing system is even better and the material is more durable than the Ridge Flex. ALWAYS go up a HALF size if you use orthotics and other inserts. As for weight, this is critical to hip, knee, and other joints: it sounds silly, but a boot beyond 30 ounces each WILL affect things you never thought possible. I have a digital good scale, and the weight with orthotics and Odor Eaters Ultimate inserts on the Ridge Flex is 23 oz per boot; the same scenario on the Reno is 28 oz per boot. This means including the Carbon Fiber toe, you only have a 5 oz difference AND oil/slip resistance among other features. I will be buying another pair in a different color.

Awesome boots.
So it's 5 star but 4 because I haven't gotten them wet to test the waterproofing. But day 1 like walking on clouds. Comfortable, hardly tell it has carbon fiber toe. Price dropped $40 So I jumped on it. I've had keen before 2nd pair been awhile. Boots fit to what I normally wear and I have an order wide fitment as well.

Keen=comfort
Use these at least 40hrs a week, usually closer to 60 and they are by far the most comfortable boots I've tried. Haven't tried out in water. Fit is good if a tad oversized. So far very happy.

Comfortable and sturdy.
I only ever buy Keen work boots because I like the wide toe area. I’ve probably had five or six different boots, a couple of which I’ve had to send back because I could feel the toe protection digging into my toes or the shoelace eyelets broke easily. These ones are built better and are great for long term standing.

Nice boots!
My husband is on his feet 12 hrs a day on concrete. These are comfortable and give him ample support. It’s hard to find a good work boot.

Good shoes. One problem.
One shoe has rough/misaligned stitches where the tong attached to the side. Can't make it not to hurt my foot.

Love the boots waterproofing so far. It has been 2 months
They are comfortable and waterproof, but the most bothersome part is when I walk the boots squeak no matter what surface it is on. It wasnt like that right away but got them. Broke in and now they squeak on anything, carpet, hard floors, rugs, ect. I believe it is an internal thing.
