good sauce, a bit runny as some said but I can't see scoring on thickness--its worth noting, but "good or bad" seem a separate evaluation. This would be great as a thin glaze for things like shrimp, ribs, etc. and when I put it on pulled pork in sliders, the thinness means it actually gets down into the shredded pork goodness. It would also be fantastic for wings, where I like a thin glaze of flavor but hate wings that are drowning in a puddle of BBQ sauce. So know that this IS thin, and decide if that works for what you want to do or not.What I CAN comfortably score this on is the taste, cost, and ingredients.....1. this is a really tasty sweet-hot sauce. Sadly, that's because it has a boatload of high fructose corn syrup. I would much rather my sugar was sugar, instead, but you may disagree. Still, its delicious if you like both sweet and heat, rather than vinegar, salt, etc. as your major players.2. its high sugar, and worse, corn syrup, as mentioned above3. here, its pretty costly.5 stars for flavor, 4 because of the corn syrup, and 3 for the cost so my aggregate score is 4 stars. You won't be disappointed in the taste, but you could buy several bottles of this or anything else at the grocery for this price

I love this sauce!! Sweet but with a little spicy kick.. So good!!!

My wife is an excellent soup creator; nothing gets her creative juices stirring like a new sauce to try in the mix. BBQ sauce is especially yummy in soups because of the complex spice mixes that go so well with vegetables, beans and the occasional bits of ham or chicken. She added it to her leftover soup (free tip: when reheating a pot of soup, add something new each nigh: it becomes a new taste creation and is a great way to create several meals easily) and, boy howdy, was it good! The secret to the taste, for me, is the tamarind, which gives the sauce (and the soup) a touch of Indian cuisine that I love.Even though I’m not a fan of tomato based BBQ sauce (the only true sauce is mustard based), this is a very good sauce to use for regular cooking. I’m looking forward to it with our next chicken quesadilla meal. So, why only four stars? Because price does matter. I understand and respect the need to make a profit, but is there a need to have such a price premium over brick and mortar stores?

So this BBQ sauce is really very good, we've had it on burgers and chicken and it's worked great. It's a bit too thin for me, and inevitably it's easy to use way too much unless you're careful. That's kind of an issue given the cost of this sauce. Although it ticks all the boxes for a good, traditional BBQ sauce, but, honestly I've had better for cheaper.

Our teen goes through a lot of bbq sauce for his chicken and when I make pulled pork for sliders. We’ve tried several brands from the grocery store including smokey, honey, ginger, and garlic highlights. This Big Poppa’s is definitely on the sweeter end. We found it was also very thin and came out of the bottle very quickly. We tried this on rotisserie chicken and didn’t think it worked well. The thinner nature may make this better for brushing on ribs. Our house prefers bbq sauces that are more tomato-forward.

I got this for my husband because I rarely use condiments.At dinner yesterday my husband urged me to at least try a very little bit because he liked it so much. After trying it, all I can say is that poppa's granny sure knows how to make excellent BBQ sauce. This is delicious.It is a little spicy, but certainly not 'burn my mouth' spicy, not at all. Some sweetness can also be tasted as well as that typical BBQ taste. This is a condiment that is most certainly going to be used up here within a very short time.It has a lot of ingredients so people with allergies might want to check carefully.The BBQ sauce comes in a hard plastic bottle with a screw on top.Freshness date is 5 months from the time I received this.

I love sweet BBQ sauce without any heat. I do not enjoy hot spicy food and I do not even use black pepper. My family likes the sauce but it’s definitely a vinegary sauce. I would love a version of this without chili pepper or hot spice.1-4-24

I was excited to try this new BBQ Sauce and it was delicious on my salmon. It has a sweet (not smokey) taste and you can taste hints of orange and brown sugar. It cooked great as a marinade and I also used it to dip carrots. The only negative would be the price as it was about three times the cost of others I also enjoy.
