Hotpoint MWH 2622 MB Extra Space Microwave Oven With Grill, 25l - Black

First time of using a flatbed microwave, and must say really impressed. Don't use a microwave too often but the last one packed in so need a new one for the occasion use. So one thing that use to do my nut in, was our square plates clanking in the old one on the rotation plate, however after looking into this flatbed I thought I'd give it a try, and it's fantastic. Because of it being flatbed you can fit a few item in at once, great for the left over take aways (just don't put the foil trays in😉), and it seems to heat fairly evenly. Controls are pretty straight forward to use, but took me a while to work out the child lock as I hadn't read the destructions.Looks good to, a lot more stylish than the last one, even if a canny bit bigger.

Both stylish and practical, this is definitely the best microwave I've ever had - I'm very pleased with it. It's extremely intuitive to operate, is lovely and spacious with no irritating turntable and the warning sound for 'process end' is gentle and pleasant - no piercing beeps. I'm very pleased with my choice. I haven't tried the grill yet but will update when I do.

This seems a very good replacement for the 12 year old Microwave Grill by another manufacturer I have jogged along with for all that time and it shows some good advances have been made in design. They've done away with the turntable. Made a big volume space for larger and even more than one dish at a time. Operation is easy. It doesn't take up as much room as I imagined it would. The finished warning beeper is gentle and doesn't startle you out of the kitchen! But it does nag you after a defrost or cooking process has finished and goes on nagging for far too long!Instruction book is pretty good (so that's a first)! A very versatile machine and I bought it because it can be used in combination mode that is microwave can cook while at the same time the grill can be on and crisping the food or browning the surface. Or you can just use it as a plain Microwave or as a separate grill. This has many advantages because a Jacket Potato weighing say 300grams you can place it on a plate and use Grill (on full) and Microwave on Medium, then set it to cook for about 13 mins and the result crisps the skin and bakes the potato more like a normal oven so the potato is more comprehensively baked rather than left floury texture like Pub jacket potatoes. In fact it simulates the old fashioned oven way of cooking the potato. So it gets full marks for that from me.Downside is something that surprises me as the makers have not included a postcard for warranty registration so you have to go on the website to register. This is a poor substitute as the page fails to register and I had to phone the customer services 3 times and then chat to them online as well, before I could get it registered. It took in the end far too long but the time and frustration involved could all be avoided if they had issued the normal Postage Paid card to fill-in and drop in the post box - So the lack of that option for me lost it a star. But the product is first rate and a confident buy. The real disappointing thing was the combination microwave grill is inferior to the Panasonic where the latter keeps the grill on while it is microwaving on medium when set to combination m/w grill mode. The Hotpoint alternates between grill and m/w so the grill takes a few seconds to warm up on every grill segment of the cooking. This is wasteful really but the main thing is you get used to such devices and soon know what timing to use.

I love this microwave so much!!!I put off buying one for months as I thought they all looked awful for the price.This one looks sleek in the kitchen, it saves time on cleaning with it's flat bed technology and does the job perfectly.Because things don't rotate you can watch them as they bubble and it's actually quite fun ha!I often warm milk up for coffee but I have different milk and as it doesn't spin I can put them in together and just remember which side, whereas with the traditional microwave it would take longer!Cooks everything as it should, and really easy to clean ( not had to even do this often as we use cling film )Arrived in good time and packaged well - no damage.Took a while before reviewing to give a proper overview :)

This microwave is great for an 800w, it heats far better than my previous 900w that had a turntable. The only problem is you have to cook everything in 30 second intervals. I want to heat something for 3 mins 10 seconds, you can’t, its 3 or 3 mins 30 seconds. So you have to stand there to stop it manually at the time you want, shame as it is a good microwave otherwise, if you forgive the small chip out of the plastic surround that was there when we opened the box and the OK button that isn’t straight and the squeaky knob when you set the ‘30 second interval’ timer.

Excellent quality and design. Cooks evenly and has a large space inside without an annoying turntable. Very easy controls and simple operation. Looks really smart in black.

I like it so far. The flat bed easily fits larger dishes and its simple to clean. Great value for money as the microwave has the added advantage of a grill. A little larger than my old appliance but worth it for the flat bed.

lovely looking microwave with nice clean lines and spacious interior. Unfortunately mine only worked from 24/01/22 to 15/02/22 after very light use (not even tried the grill yet) at which point it went pop & tripped the main circuit breaker. The unit is now completely dead. Tried new fuses. Very disappointed
