I used this connector as a quick connect for my trolling motor. It was very easy to instal and it seems like it’s going to work perfectly in a marine application.

I have not installed this yet but it seems to be good quality. I cannot contest to its water tightness yet.

It was a little bit fiddley to assemble these, but not bad, and they offer an excellent video showing the whole process. The connectors crimped easily, and I would bet that they will solder as well, with a big enough soldering iron. I like the caps that keep them dry and clean when in place.

I used this heavy duty connector set to add some 6 gauge wire from the truck battery to the rear bumper where one connector is installed. The other goes from the camper battery forward to near the trailer hitch where the other connector is installed. When the trailer is connected to the truck and I insert the two connectors together, I have much more power/amperage going to the camper battery (yes the 7 pin connector has a hot battery lead...but the wires are too light).I am very pleased with this heavy duty connector. These plugs are awesome for off-road applications. I love the security they offer with both dust/water protection and the overall connection integrity. These are easy enough to plug together, but it takes a good bit of effort to pull them apart, which I really like. When driving offroad on uneven surfaces and bumpy roads, things can take a beating and the last thing I want is for one of my devices to come unplugged. I used these connectors for my Dometic Fridge. The fridge is wired directly into my lithium battery bank with the connectors close to the fridge so I can unplug it and take it out of the right when necessary but I don’t have to worry about losing power due to a poor connection. These are a little tricky to put together for your first time, but once you get the hang of it they are quite easy. If you’re using more than a few of these, I suggest looking into a hydraulic crimper which can make life easier and the install/setup gets much faster/cleaner.

This is a high quality quick connector set. The connectors are Anderson-like styled and rated at 50A. The set includes two mating housing halves, two IP68 rated watertight dust covers on wire leads, four contact terminals (sized for 6-8 gauge wires) and a complete set of seals and hardware. The grey colored housings fit tightly together and are weather and corrosion resistant. They also tolerate high temperatures. The terminals have a silver plated covering that aids in a strong and arc-free connection. The connectors are ideal for recovery winch power systems as well as boat towing systems. The design of the connectors allow for repeated quick connect/disconnects over a long service life.Would recommend these to anyone.

I got this item because I was interested in a high current connector for my 12v winch system on my farm truck. The item appears to be functional but seems to be way more 'clunky' than necessary. I don't know why the design couldn't be more 'elegant', i.e., more compact. Why do they have to be so big and square? Maybe they are designed for very high voltage and need the conductors to be separated, but anything around the house is only 12 or 120 volts were arcing is not a big problem. Maybe heat dissipation for 50 amps, but not many power sources can sustain 50 amps over a very long period to really heat things up. The contacts don't appear to lock into the housing very elegantly either. Like I said, this item appears to work, but for the price and the clunky design, I'd look for alternatives. (Should be a big seller in Russia. ;-) )

I like this plug. It came with xeip lugs and rubber gaskets. The plug has a gasket and the covers are tethered. This will take a large gauge wire I would say 8awg would definitely fit maybe even 6. I can't see any markings on the plug itself but the lugs have a 6. I actually got this a a nice waterproof connection for my off Rd lights so I can take them off for inspection time . It's overkill for the amount of power the lights draw but the 14awg plugs I was using were getting hot so they were not enough.
