Butter Me Up Organic Shea Body Butter 250ml

I bought this for my mother as a cheaper alternative to the Body Shop Shea Body Butter which is £15 for 200ml.  The Body Shop Shea Body Butter 200 ml I also bought PraNatural's pure organic Shea Butter as a comparison which was cheaper still at £8 for 300ml.  PraNaturals 100% Organic Shea Butter 300ml, Raw Unrefined Extra Virgin A Grade African Pure Ivory All-Natural, Smooth Shea Nut Lip Balm Body Butter Moisturiser Cream Lotion for All Skin Face Hair Type The consistency is very sloppy in comparison to the Body Shop's thick cream consistency and the PraNatural's hard wax consistency. Looking at the ingredients I am not sure that I trust it to contain much Shea Butter. It does not state the percentage. Both the consistency and the position in the ingredients list implies that the largest ingredient is water. It's soft consistency means that it is easily applied and absorbed into the skin, but so is the body shop product. This is only slightly cheaper than the body shop alternative and I think that I trust that Brand more. However if you intend to use it on delicate skin this may be a good product for you.

This came in a very cheap plastic tub and was quite a thin moisturiser. Too heavily scented. It wasn’t what I expected.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this body butter. In the winter I use it as a facial moisturiser as well as using it on hands on top of coconut or avocado oil before going to bed. I have very sensitive skin and find this absolutely fine for me. I also use it to smooth my hair down, rather than using un-natural, products or harsh chemicals. I do this by applying a tiny amount to my hands and rubbing it in, then softly stroking it on to my hair. It stops it for being so flyaway and gives it a lovely fragrant scent that isn't overpowering.Highly recommended for sensitive skin or anyone seeking to remove harsh chemicals from their beauty regime. Also the company is very ethical, so it ticks all boxes for me.

Nice texture but the fragrance is spicy/ herbal and very strong. Not my cuppa.

Good hydrating body cream, love the texture and it dries very quickly so you can get dressed immediately. The scent is a little too strong for me, although it disappears over time.

I've been using this product for a good few years. It's the only thing I've found that doesn't aggravate my eczema, keeps me moisturised, smells really nice and is a natural product.This tub will last me over a month and I use it all over, even face, every day.It absorbs quickly and easily and is non greasy.
