Read 1 page every day over breakfast
Bought this at Christmas and as of 1 January we have been reading aloud the details from the appropriate day whilst all around the breakfast table. I confess that I sometimes have a sneak peak the night before and look a few things up, both to appear more knowledgeable and to add to the conversation. As a family we are relatively in to history and have at least some idea about most of what we have read so far, but I have found a few entries to be a bit obscure and these have not stirred any interest with us.Not something to complain about, but the title is 365 days, but there is also an entry for 29 Feb.Over all, It has been a great success with us and still going strong in mid April.

Book
This was bought a a gift but my husband already has the book & I know he enjoyed it. The book is good for people who are not avid readers as it has a short entry for each day of the year

Excellent
My husband lives to read this instead of a daily newspaper over his breakfast. Fascinating stories in digestible size length.

An excellent book for those who need to dip in and out
365: Great Stories from History for Every Day of the Year is a book whereby each day offers a brief treaty of an event or person e.g. A Tudor monarch. During that article it will mention their son/daughter/mother or a battle they fought at in a passing sentence which subsequently goes on to become a full article in it's own right on a different day.By the end of the book it's possible to have a passable knowledge of British, European, Classical and American history having read no more than 3 pages on any one specific topic. It may sound as if it could be fragmented but certainly doesn't read that way.I enjoyed the book a lot and echo another reviewers comments that it gives you the desire to read more about some of the topics that you otherwise might not have considered. The only caveat I give is that I was able to spot a couple of errors in the book and I'm no historian. For example on the biography of Thomas Jefferson the book states as fact that he fathered children by one of his slaves Sally Hemings. Although DNA test results have been studied I believe the current position is still open to interpretation. Would this stop me buying the book again, no.

Great book to "review" history in small bursts
This is a great "bathroom book". It was recommended to me on a European tour of the UK and I love it; one story a day for a year! Very informative.

J'adore
J'aime beaucoup le principe d'une anecdote par jour, elles font 2-3 pages grand maximum, et c'est super intéressant, ça permet d'élargir ses connaissances, je recommande!
