This little fountain is perfect for my indoor/outdoor kitty who is technically a stray who has adopted my apt building. He would often climb up on the bathroom counter or into the tub, to try and get water out of the tap, and he refused water bowls unless he was very thirsty. Cats really don’t like still water, after all.After researching my options, I settled on this fountain and I do not regret the rechargeable water fountain. I’ve had no leaking issues, the battery lasts quite a while before needing to be recharged while on motion sensor. I keep this right outside my apartment door so it’s always accessible and neighbors walk by it all day long.The water comes out in a steady stream, much like the water from a faucet and the kitty can drink easily from that stream (his clear preference) or from the reservoir before the water drains back into the storage reservoir.We used this all summer, during the high heat and I’m sure more than my little kitty was using it, but I don’t care. All my neighbors know how to charge and refill it so the kitty will never run out of fresh moving water.It’s easy to pull the battery pack off for recharging and then I can scrub the entire container, both the water reservoir and the top of the fountain where the water runs. I’ve considered getting a second one for inside my apartment considering how useful it has been.

Purchased this because I was worried about my cat not drinking enough water. The charging cord was missing from the package, but an email to Downy Paws customer service was answered quickly and they sent me a cord and a bonus placemat to protect the floor. Katy (3-year-old stray who is now an indoor-only cat) was suspicious of the fountain and refused to approach it. Occasionally I would leave a favored treat on the rim to try to entice her to get closer, but it was over six weeks before one disappeared. Shortly after that I happened upon Katy just standing over the spout and looking at the water. Finally one day I turned around and found her lapping from the tray. I've only seen her a few other times, so apparently she prefers to drink unobserved. Also noticed the water level is actually going down now. So if your cat doesn't take to the fountain right away, be patient because it might take a couple of months before it is accepted.

I rarely do this, but I'm changing my review to 5 stars. After I posted my original review, the company contacted me and completely stood behind their product, which we really appreciate. I think the battery in my original fountain was just a dud. They sent me a free replacement, and it's working great!Not only that, but our cat seems very happy to have this fountain back! He's picky about fountains and some of the other kinds he won't use at all. But he used this one immediately when I got it set up.This is my favorite pet fountain we've ever had, and I've been using them for my cats for over 15 years. Since it's wireless, it's SO convenient. You can put it almost anywhere and just pick it up to clean or move it without struggling with cords. Charging it is really easy.Also, it's quiet and the motion sensor works great.==============ORIGINAL REVIEW: Stopped working 5 weeks after it arrived.This fountain stopped working 1 week after the return window expired. The battery appeared to need charging, so I charged it according to the instructions just as I had done before. But when I placed it back in the fountain it simply wouldn't come on anymore. Now it's useless to my kitty. What a total waste of money.

I really like this product after several months of use. The zero wires feature is great and you don't hear the motor of the pump running at all unless you're really trying hard.There's just one flaw that might be a problem to only me. The sound of the water falling from the filter back into the basin is so loud I have trouble sleeping and I have started to remove the pump so I can get some rest. I live in a shared abode and the agreement was all of my cat's utilities have to stay in my room, so it's not possible for me to move it's location but if you have your cat food and water separate from your sleeping arrangements I think this is a good low cost cat fountain.

We originally purchased this for use in our camper for our cats. I loved the motion sensor so that it wasn’t running all the time and that it would hold a charge and run off usb. The cats loved it so much we purchased another for our house. It’s not to big and the cats seem to prefer it over others that we have. It also seems to filter better and stay fresh for longer than some of the others that we have that we have to change filters weekly.

I love this fountain. It is durable, my cats love it. It’s easy to charge and is fully charged in just a few hours. The charge lasted 4 1/2 weeks with 3 cats and the fountain set to come on with the timer not motion. I ordered the extra unit when I purchased the fountain so if the one that came with it had to be charged frequently or for manny hours, I would have a backup to pop in. I have only had to switch once so far. It’s easy to clean. Safe around cats that tend to splash the water. The shape is perfect to prevent it being knocked over. Filters are easy and actually work. I have purchased several other brands and styles of cordless fountains. All the others have had issues that left me contemplating not having a fountain. This one changed my mind. The icing on the cake is that this is the cheapest one I’ve purchased.

Tiene un sensor muy sensible eso ayuda que se active más fácil con el minimo movimiento, me hubiera gustado que tuviera también la opción de flujo continuo eso lo haría un producto excelente!También me hubiera gustado que tuvieran un modelo que no tuviera el tope que está en medio de la bandeja.Lo compre especialmente para mis aves por el tiempo de calor y mantener el agua limpia por más tiempo, al parecer le gusta.
