ZilactinCold Sore Gel, Medicated Gel - 0.25 OzGel

I have suffered from cold sores since I was a child. As I get older (I'm 28 now) and the stresses of life intensify and my immune system deteriorates, the outbreaks are more frequent and nastier than ever. Sometimes now I even get 2 sores on different parts of my lip forming at the same time (not spreading, just appearing at the same time). I had been a slave to the horribly ineffective Abreva for YEARS.. and it just DOESN'T work. This product however DOES work, and is super inexpensive! As other reviews have stated, it does sometimes burn a bit at first depending on how far along the sore is.. but as soon as you apply it and it dries, it begins to "kill" the sore and seal it in. I love this aspect as it protects the sore from moisture with a film, with is often the cause of spreading and prolonged healing times. I noticed a sore forming under my nose, all of a sudden it was cherry red (the MOST painful place) yesterday afternoon. I applied some Lysine gel while I was at work, as it's all I had in my purse at the time. I think this helped to slow the formation. When I arrived at home, I applied a layer of Zilactin. It sealed it immediately and before I went to bed (about 4 hours after application) the site wasn't red at all, and appeared to be dried out completely. This is truly a miracle product for those who suffer with cold sores and are tired of paying money for the expensive stuff that simply does not work.I will comment though that when you feel the "tingling" sensation and the sore hasn't appeared yet.. this product may not be the best one to use at that time. Lysine gel seems to prevent the sore from forming without damaging the skin. If you happen to be without the Lysine gel, and the cold sore does form, then the Zilactin gel is the way to go to stop the sore in its tracks.Will continue to use this product!!!

Best thing I have ever used for cold sores. I usually get one or two a year. Gross, ugly, painful sores that looked like i dropped my curling iron onto my lip. My lips have attempted to produce two cold sores since I got this toward the end of 2014. I put it on at the first tingle and that is the end of the story. I don't know what is in it, or why it works, but even if it were made with horse manure I would use it. I have used other products that sort of minimize the sore-if i got the stuff applied immediately. Zilactin does't just minimize; it eradicates. It is amazing.

I always know when I'm going to get a Cold because it comes with a Cold Sore, that early tiny Red Spot and Soreness on my Lip, that discomfort typical of a Cold Sore, I looked for some medicine where I live without any luck and I knew I would find it here "Zilactin Cold Sore Gel" makes Cold Sore Disappear in a matter of days, the White Gel takes away that burning sensation...so fast, and I know its working. I apply the medication about three to four times a day, it is recommended to do it up to six times per day. Zilactin is hard to find where I live and any Cold Sore remedies are twice more expensive than here, this little tube can last for a long time, Zilactin Cold Sore Gel, I am Glad I found It! ...Thank You, D.D.

I have been using this medication for cold sores for my whole life and the ONLY ONE that starts immediately working and you should have it gone in a couple of days. It will sting going on, but that is what you want as it shows you it's working. I started using this so long ago at that time it was a liquid which you can no longer purchase but the gel is just as good!

This product really kills the fungus, you can feel it penetrate and burn. I haven't had a cold sore since using this product on a break out below my lower lip 4 months ago. I keep the tube in my wallet and whenever I feel an itchy twinge I apply it immediately. I've suffered from embarrassing cold sores for most of my life, where was this product 20 years ago?. Thanks Zilactin for improving the quality of my life........ I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, JUST PLEASE DON'T BUY IT ALL because I'll be definitely buying it again and again and again.

I usually get colds sores maybe once every 2-3 years, so when I got one two weeks ago, I ran to the store and got the one from orajel, which works fine to dry out the sore and lessen the healing time, but didn't do much for prevention. I came upon zilactin on amazon while looking for reviews on the orajel cold sore brand and decided to order one just in case I got another one. Well.... lo and behold, due to the hot summer weather and feel super stressed out lately, I woke up this morning with two sores forming on my upper lip... I had already felt the burning sensation the day before but thought my lips were just irritated from being super dry from using of Retin-A. Well... luckily, the zilactin had just arrived a couple days before. I quickly dabbed some on my lips and have done so every 2-3 hours. What was two large sores on my lip is now barely noticeable. In fact, I'm not even sure if they are there anymore because I can't feel anymore bumps on them. Zilactin far exceeds any brand of cold sore medication I've used -- at least this time, it's helped prevent my cold sore from emerging. I will update in a couple days to see if these little suckers have completely been prevented from coming out.Update: 8 days since first application. All blisters disappeared after one day of application and none of re-emerged! However, it made my lips very very dry, but that may be due to over-application (once per every hour), but I'd take dry lips over colds sores any day! Now using quantum super lysing+ cold stick along w/ lanolin for the dryness (which are both excellent products by the way).

The reason the rating on this product is so high is because IT WORKS! At the first sign of burning or tingling...don't wait. Use of this product will stop it in its tracks. I have used this product for years and would never be without it. A slight tingling/burning upon application but you can feel it penetrating deeply and STOPS A BREAKOUT BEFORE IT CAN HAPPEN! Everything should work this well.
