10 Litres of Potting Soil (Coco Brick)

Good quality. Safe for what I needed it for. I have two house rabbits and wanted to grow cat grass and dandiylions for them. I filled 1 try and a regular box.

I thought this will save carbon footprint in delivery as after all it is compact and "grows"...The description said that open plastic bag and add 3 litre water and it will grow to 10 litre in 10 min.Well, it might be just me but the water started to leak as the plastic was not sturdy enough... And after almost an hour it did not grow to 10 litre... beside the plastic bag is not even 10 litre size so I would have been in even bigger trouble if it did... what a mess!I ended up going to B&Q and buy some proper stuff. Waste of money, sorry!

I have too much of this soil. Do not know what to do with it. I really like the soil. There is a lot of it. I only wanted to use it for garlic. When you will fill the soil up with water do not fill it up to the very top. I acidently spilled soil on to my floor.

Very good product. But I was amazed to find the same in a pound store - I could have saved money or bought 6 for the price that I paid here(including P & P)

The idea of buying items that take up less space and are low weight is compelling for obvious reasons. The reality is a bit different and a little disappointing to be honest. What you get here is a small package of material that is similar to the sort of substance you get in one of those "grow your own seeds" miracle type products that children are given to grow water cress. It is a sort of dry terracotta felt like soil that grows when you add water. It claims to product 10 litres of compost when fully hydrated. Having "simply added water and waited" I can confirm that it produces approximately half of the 10 litres claimed. I suppose you could fluff it up a bit by whisking it with a fork or even add a couple of (free range) eggs and put it in a food processor and that this might make it rise like a meringue and be light and delicate rather than firm and stodgy but that might be a bit impracticable. If it had claimed to product 5 litres of compost I would have been happy enough but the egg-agerated volume claim has left me flat and disappointed.

I like this, perfect for potting. Just make sure you soak it well before use.

Definitely not 10 Liters. Let it sit in slightly more water than advised on the packaging for over an hour and it was still hard as a brick. Started breaking it apart at that point, which only helped mildly. Some of the herb seeds I've planted seem to struggle growing in this soil as well. Would not buy again
