I initially was in awe and thought this paint was the answer to time saving home updates. My first project was painting my oak laundry cabinets black. I cleaned with TSP and lightly hand sanded. The paint went on like a dream with a brush and two thin coats did the job without even using all of the little can. Very happy- 5 stars! So excited I ordered more for my kitchen cabinets and furniture. Things I learned : The oak wood grain shows through so to get a smooth look use a wood filler but I don’t mind it gives it a texture. However, it has been nearly two months and i can easily chip the paint with my fingernail so considering if i need to add another layer or a top coat to protect. Drop to 4.5 stars but still loving the finished look.Second project: paint the sideboard/buffet tables in Crete. Cleaned it but didn’t sand or prime because it says it is all in one with primer. Big mistake. 3 coats of paint and a few curse words later, the original color still shows through the brush strokes. Drips and blobs form because I am trying to layer the paint on thick enough to cover brush strokes. Using a sponge brush didn't make it any smoother. Now wishing I used chalk paint so i could sand and smooth the finish. Drop to 3 stars. The color is beautiful, not exactly what I wanted but this is my own fault. I recommend sanding and priming before use which kind of defeats using an “all in one” paint and for the high price of this paint I am dropping my review to 2 stars. Hope this helps some other DIYer.

LOVE the color. HOWEVER...I painted my kitchen cabs with this paint and found that the description is a bit misleading...you still should sand your cabinets for better adhesion and durability. I did not sand the first bank of cabinets and two weeks later the paint is peeling off. But the second bank of cabinets I did sand and the paint is still holding strong. I also found that you need to paint three or four coats for better results, which means that you need a lot more paint than what they suggest. It is a good product for furniture flips but I think in higher traffic areas, you might want to reconsider the product you use.
