Duronic Tablet SADT2 - SAD Light Therapy Box for Seasonal Affective Disorder - 10,000 Lumens Lamp

I have bought Duronics products before and find they are very good. It came very quickly and was well presented in a box which contained a carrying bag. I just had to plug it in. Its very light to carry but quite sturdy.I decided to buy the SAD Light Therapy Box because I do have a big change of mood in the winter months to the point where I just want to curl up in front of the fire and not go anywhere. Recently I have noticed that the mornings are very dark which makes me want to stay in bed longer, which would be easy for me because I have just retired - not a good start to my days ahead.The light has made a huge difference whereas I turn it on about half an hour before getting out of bed, and it sends a flood of bright light into the room but no so that its blinding. I don't look directly into the light but just having that glow in the room is enough for me. Its easily portable so I also use it in the lounge in the afternoons because it gets so dark so quickly and having the light on seems to make the day a little longer. Its also a very good reading light. I am very pleased with the light and would recommend.

I'm really happy with this light tablet. It's compact, versatile, and the right brightness to treat my SAD. I like to stand it up horizontally in front of my laptop while I work, but it stands up vertically as well or can just be held. It does plug into mains, so there's some limit to its portability while it's actually turned on. It has two intensity settings, though I always use the brightest one. I noticed some other customer photos on this page seem to be of a different, bigger Duronic model (they look like the SADV1 to me), so I've included a picture of the light I received to give an idea of its size.As far as fulfilling its purpose goes, I'm already noticing a difference after 4 or 5 days of use. I've combined it with vitamin D supplements and a light alarm clock to treat my SAD and it's been very effective. Also, you can't beat the price.

A big thank you to this company as they checked if i received the item , which i didn't as it was lost by Amazon delivery. Straight away they offered to send me a replacement on a next day delivery which I receive it straight away. The lamp is very easy to use, high quality , not cheap plastic and the light is bright and pleasant. Thank you once again . A ++++

I am a sceptical invividual & i like to try new things. I was rather at a desperate point with my moods this winter. Then i started using this amazing device!I use it first-thing when i get up & prepare breakfast (30mins) & then a follow-up ‘blast’ at 1500hrs (15) to keep the afternoon slump at bay.I found that too much of it brought on a touch of insomnia so each individual should prescribe their own dosage as per your own needs!I have bipolar 2 and this has seriously improved my circadian cycle to the point where it has actually stabilised my moods.There are plenty of scholarly articles on the usage of light boxes for this application as well as for SAD.Very, very pleased!

Light works as suggested in advertising - very bright. Have been using for about 2 weeks and feeling mildly better. Is lightweight and slim so easy to carry around.Only knocks are the stand is a small metal rod that connects to the device by magnet for storage but the magnet is very weak so you will most likely lose the stand; also the power cable is way too short and device isn’t rechargeable so limits practical use.

Every autumn my mood significantly dropped down.. I was paralysed by negative thoughts, tiredness, anxiety and lack of positive perspective so last week I've decided to order Sad lamp and alarm clock just to try to be active and normal person again. Today is 3rd day that I use it and it really helps! No sleepiness during the day, no crying for every single stupid thing, no oversensitivity in general.. I have to say that I also started to use homeopathic remedy prescribed by certified practitioner so combination of these factors is surprisingly helpful.

So I ordered the SADT2 and was delivered the SADV1 which was not a sealed item and looked like had been returned by someone then shipped back out (fragile stamped tape completely sliced open, other old tape fragments underneath)I messaged the seller as soon as I got home and realised. Quick response, approximately 19 hours (including out of hrs). Could send back for exchange but that is quite a hassle so decided to keep it.The SADV1 is about 2 ft tall by 1ft wide so not really desktop size, better to be wall mounted if you can.Light is far brighter than expected and instant when switch is turned on. Does get quite warm very quickly, 5 mins is about the same as a hot water bottle that's just been made up.No effect so far on myself but my wife got very disgruntled within 10 minutes of using.So far, I'm 50/50 as to if it's worth it.Edit 22/10/18:Unfortunately using this causes instant disgruntledment for my wife, as soon as it's on she's in a bad mood. Once it's turned off, in 5 minutes she's fine again.Unlikely to continue using.

This product is an approved medical device which was a big plus for me. I'm glad I bought this. This time of year I normally get terrible mood swings, seasonal depression and anxiety. I appreciate further research on light therapy is needed, but I'm glad I got this and it seems to be making a difference. I don't wake up groggy either.
