Q: so if you use these speakers by connecting them to backs of lower speaker how does this speaker receive atmos information?

Elegant metal fasteners atop the S 809, S 807, and S 803 models provide a chic, modern industrial look, but also serve as a connection point for the S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos elevation speaker with it's connectors on the bottom of it. The extra top set of terminals on the back of either of the S 809, S 807, and S 803 models are for the height speaker wire connection from the AV receiver to the speaker.

Q: Those modules will increase the 8 ohm to 16 Ohm or maintain the output to 8 Ohm?

impedance remains the same because they use separate inputs.

Q: Can these units use the industry std banana type plugs? The Sony atmos units don't, and i am frustrated I cant find any to fit.

If you're referring to the Jamo Studio Series 8's as a whole then yes, they accept banana plugs. However , these Atmos units are not stand-alone speakers. They have no speaker line inputs themselves. They are designed as "toppers" for the Studio Series 8 bookshelf/tower speakers. These atmos speakers have pegs on the bottom that plug into the bookshelf/towers. The bookshelf/towers have 2 sets of inputs; one for the main speaker and one for the Atmos toppers
