Is the lid dishwasher safe?

I bought this for the upcoming holidays and will not be placing it in the dishwasher to prevent the heat from ruining the seal. It is the best size that I have found so far, but it takes a while to have all ends snap-in secured. I like that it will cover the food, but I will not carry the food by the handle, for the weight might detach the lid’s handle from the glass and the food would fall.
