Insightful
Created after spending almost a decade in observing and understanding human behaviour, habits and personality types, this book published by Hay House India is a spiritual guide for insightful restrospection and introspection of ourselves. This book is an attempt to decode our mystery and realise logically and spiritually, what makes us who we are and the reason behind our uniqueness. This book is not to be read in a rush, so I took my time with it, only devouring a few chapters a day. The author talks about our learning what our human roles are, accepting and acting upon them, soul personality, and karmic mandates. Reading this one was a journey worth experiencing, and helped clear a few questions that I had since years. Although a bit redundant, the book doesn't deviate from its essence and is a must read. The book emphasises that the events occurring in our lives, the Karma and the Karmic debt shape our lives, and shares advice on how to understand and accept who we are. The book cover is a soothing and mesmerizing feature of this book, equally exciting and attractive. The author's insightful words are thought-provoking, backed by research and real-life examples, making the book both informative and engaging. The writing style is easily accessible, making this a valuable read for anyone interested in understanding what makes us who we are. This book is thought-provoking at its best, an exploration of human identity, purpose and spiritual growth.

A helpful Guide
A good mix of psychology and spirituality, this book has useful information and makes for a deep and enlightening read. I enjoyed the 2nd section in particular. Just wish it covered more soul categories. Maybe a sequel helps.

Thoughtful and fascinating!
Why We Are, Who We Are, a book by Author Mitu Bisht, is a thought-arousing and fascinating analysis of how human tendencies and karmic patterns are responsible for individual scenarios and destinies. This book's central focus is on identity. Our family, name, religion, gender, and nationality are just constituents of the identity of our body, not of our soul. This book can be called a sequel to the book "Living Spirituality" by the same author. As she did in her last book, she revealed spiritual ways through which, one can be much more self-aware and ways to dissipate various suffering one faces in this life. Not everyone's life is the same, and not everyone goes through the same hardships, but as human beings, we should be compassionate to each other and show empathy to people who are trying to figure out their purpose in life. This is one of the best messages I have received from this book. The author has shed light on past lives, the karma accumulated in each life, and how the debt gets paid in the succeeding life. Most souls have a unique pattern of collecting karmic debts, which should be recognized and broken to attain spiritual liberty.I will suggest everyone read the book Living Spirituality before reading this, though it can be read as a standalone.Again, the language is extremely simple, and I feel one can extract lots of consolations from this book.

A Beautiful Masterpiece of knowing oneself.
Just like "Living Spirituality" is the masterpiece which gives us clarity and guidance on true Spirituality. This is another amazing Masterpiece from an Amazing author. A reveler of profound wisdom and truth of why we are and who we are. A beautiful exploration of the Self. Each chapter guides us with impeccable wisdom to dive deeper within ourselves, to know more, to understand more, to realize more, to unlearn, learn, relearn, rectify and implement wherever it's needed. Each chapter has light, clarity, profound wisdom and insights, amazing revelations of life, various aspects of Karma..causes, effects and mandates and Spirituality. The book throws light on various kinds of souls and their personalities, their tendencies and remedies. It not only states the ways for improving and enhancing ourselves but also what our real purpose is in our life. The way even questions are put and answered as well..as if the author knows, these queries will come to every seeker's mind. Even readers. A must read for everyone who wants to explore their deeper dimensions, who wants to sincerely work on themselves. One of the beautiful aspects of her books that I love and admire..is the way she expresses, profoundness with simplicity. It's like "Profoundness" simplified. This helps to understand the deeper levels of ourselves with more clarity, the being within us and we become more self aware of our actions and intentions. Both "Living Spirituality" and "Why We Are Who We Are" are not simply books but a true guidance of living our lives from one's natural state, working on ourselves and our karmic mandates sincerely, balancing each aspect of ourselves to evolve and to become higher beings.Thank you so much Ma'am for giving us such wonderful Masterpieces.

Interesting
This book deals with karma and why we are in this life and what we are supposed to do with it.The author categorises different types of personalities (or souls) to explain the main problems the soul is struggling with in this current lifetime and before that. It's interesting to read.
