Good but TOO expensive
The product is easy to used and does the job; but I needed 4 weights to balance my auto-vacuum in my salt pool. For just a few dollars ($4) I made several weights from Schd 40 PVC 2" pipe (PVC is about 40% heavier than water but don't use ABS which is not dense enough). Extremely simple; buy enough 2" PVC pipe for about 4-5 weights each 4" long (say 2 feet in total). Cut to length (4" is my suggestion) and slip over the hose at the joints and hold in place with a small piece of foam, such as from a pool noodle -- notice the blue piece just out of the pipe which would be pushed well under the pipe in use. Keeping the hose below the surface prevents bugs and junk from collecting on the hose.

Accoomplished Goal of Sinking my Hose / Have a Floating Skimmer
I own the larger circumference pool filtration hose of the two typically available. These may or may not fit the smaller hose tightly. These attached very securely to my hose by utilizing a bit of force to push the hose in between the opening of these. The hose immediately sunk a foot or two underwater. I have a floating skimmer (the Dragonfly) and debris had been accumulating behind the floating hose prior to reaching the floating skimmer; not anymore. I attached the first 2-pack within 6 & 10 feet of the floating skimmer which sunk that portion of the hose. I am going to order another 2-pack so as to sink more of the pool hose which is located further from the floating skimmer. I believe a total of 4 weights should be satisfactory..

These work
I have a really long hose - my pool is 20' x 40'. The hose kept getting stuck on the solar cover. We keep the cover on almost all the time we aren't actually in the pool. I purchased one pair of these weights originally, and then purchased two more pairs. They work very well. The hose stays about 1-1 1/2 feet below the surface of the water. It took some experimentation to get the weights in the right places, but the result solves all my problems. They were easy to install also.

Buy 3x as many as you think you need
I purchased these to put on our automatic pool cleaner, to hold the hose underwater. I bought 2 packages. These aren't heavy enough to really hold the hose in the water. You need about 1 weight at least every foot or so to be effective.

Works great with my Baracuda Pool Cleaner & Leaf Canister
These weights solved the problem of floating pool hose and the need to keep priming my pool equipment. We have a lot of yard debris that blows into our pool so I added a Hayward Leaf Canister to the Baracuda pool vacuum and immediately discovered the canister kept floating (due to heavy suction) and the need to keep priming the pump and mess with the salt system. These pool weights solved the problem.Note: I tried to buy pool weights like these at Pinch A Penny Pool Supply in Port St. John, Florida - but the store owner only had pool hose floats (not weights) and he didn't know the difference. I have some hose floats I kept off my old pool vac system and these were the opposite of what I needed. I was able to buy the Hayward Leaf Canister at that store (because I try to buy local first!) Amazon came to the rescue and helped me get my pool running well and back on track.

Fits Hayward and one will keep a strainer-basket down
If you have one of those hose-line baskets that catch debris BEFORE hitting your filter, one of these is enough to keep it from floating. I also bought the hose swivel, since because this sinks it became a tangle-problem. So, from the wall I have a hose, the swivel, the in-hose strainer, THIS on the next hose closest to the strainer and then the rest of the hose to the vac. Placing it below the swivel will keep any bubbles that get in the strainer flowing UP. Works perfectly.

Takes some adjusting
My goal was to keep my Polaris hose suspended below the surface but yet not keep it on the bottom. I have a solar powered skimmer on top that struggles with a hose and the Polaris will get knitted up with its hose if it is on the bottom. Therefore, it takes some adjustment of weights on the floats and the placement of the floats on the hose. To get them on the floats, I had to remove the tabs on the backside of the weights with a pair of needle nose pliers. I broke a few of the weights when trying to slide them on the floats but I found it works easier after spraying a little WD-40 on the floats before sliding them. After lots of fiddling I have the hose where I want it and the skimmer is happy.

Work well
Purchased a number of these a few at a time until we were satisfied we had a good balance. We have a surface robot too so the hose had to be below the surface. We just replaced the hose and are repositioning the weights and they are still in good condition after two years of San Antonio sun.
