Melancholic horror
This story was heartfelt and yet disturbing, I was kept on edge till the end about what had happened to the wife or what she saw but it was never exactly mentioned so that was open to interpretation. Of course due to this the book did recieve some criticism and yes it is why I deducted a star but otherwise the prose was hypnotic and yet you felt sorrow for both the wives. There is suspense and romance and is well balanced. A read I might never forget.PS. After this read you will never want to set foot in the sea!

Okayish
Hmm... I finished reading this book today and I am not wowed by it. The writing is good but not something that caught my eye. That being said, this book perfectly captures the atmosphere and touches upon thalassophobia and I loved the book for it. We get two character perspectives namely Leah and Miri who are a married lesbian couple. I enjoyed Leah's POV more as compared to that of Miri. My disappointment with this book comes from the fact that I didn't get answers for what I was looking for and that's why I gave it a 3.75/5.
