Q: The hole forms a pocket. How do you clean the dough out of the layers? Dishwasher didn't do it.

They are dishwasher safe. In a short period of time, the gluten hardens quite a bit while sitting in the hole.l. Some things don't lend themselves to simply having soapy water run over them in a dishwasher. If melted cheese adheres to a clean dish, chances are some will still be on the dish out of the dishwasher. I simply push a soapy sponge in the hole with a twist in each side then place in the dish washer. If your dough has egg and oil in its ingredients, that makes it even more difficult. It takes some physical abrasion to work it loose.

Q: Up to which temperature are they heat resistant?

I don't know the actual answer. However, my silicone baking mats, that are really thin, can be used to bake in the the oven up to 400°F. These are about 1/4" thick. I can't think of how they would be used in a situation where they would be used to cook with. If you wanted to scrape hot cookies off a baking sheet, or some other short contact with heat, there would be no problem.

Strong with silicone edge just what we wanted

The silicone edge works well with curved containers. We have a stainless steel scraper and these compliment it well when working with bread dough. Appear to be strong and well made.
