Many features for the price
Great if you are looking for a configurable WiFi access point. Lots of features with separate radios for frequency bands which can be configured in many different ways. The power output of each radio can be set separately giving you long reach as required. Different options for security as well. This kind of WiFi may be an actual necessity with the new WiFi standards and as most broadband providers router with built in access points are increasingly poor quality with short range (which they the use to sell you an enhanced WiFi service) and as much configurable as a brick!

Good price / signal strength / functionality...Easy to setup...
Easy to setup with all the functionality you're likely to need, especially as a home user.. Looks and feels well made. Much better coverage & signal strength than other more expensive devices. Good array of additional components including outdoor access points that can all be managed from a web console.

Easy Set-Up & V Fast
Excellent. Great little App to get you going and very fast speeds. What's not to love. Time will tell, but for the price, this is an excellent bit of kit. 5*****

Great speed, start up a little tricky
The UI on this is a little dated and has some dodgy translations but did the job well after that.

Very happy with the purchase
Easy to setup, cheaper than the competition and very much set and forget once up and running.

WiFi signal weaker than Unifi AP Lite it was meant to replace
I bought 2 of these to replace 2 old Unifi lite AP's. Setup was simple. Created a Nebula account before anything else, then adopted the AP's using the provided QR code. Had both up and running in a few mins. Nebula cloud management is ok. It gives useful data but I found it quite slow to update eg if a device roamed from 1 AP to another it would take a while to show the change. Nebula is free to use, but you need to pay to unlock some of advanced features. I found the performance of these AP's poor compared to the older Unifi lite AP's. Even without running any dedicated tools it was obvious the signal was weaker in most areas. I spent quite a bit of time changing the radio settings to make sure they were transmitting at full power with as little interference as possible, but no luck In the end I returned as they were a downgrade if anything compared to the existing AP's. Gave 3 stars as they are very cheap, but performance isnt great

High hopes from a wired Zyxel user
I had high hopes for this Access Point, as I've been using Zyxel switches with no issues, so I assumed I'd be able to use this standalone and configure it how I want. Sadly, I was wrong, as it was wall after wall from the minute I switched it on. It wouldnt let me connect to the web interface using the static IP address I set in my OPNSense Router, so I had to connect to the unsecure default wireless network. I scanned the QR code manual and found that I needed to connect using 1.1.1.1, so I did. For standalone mode, the manual stated that the default username and password was admin:1234, which just returned a "Login denied" message. I did some Googling, and I wasn't the only one with the issue, but all the answers were to just "use nebula cloud because the basic is free". I didn't want to, but I reluctantly went to give the cloud a try. This required signing up for an account and manually inputting your AP mac and serial. I got my AP added and configured my SSID settings. It took the AP about 50 minutes to pull the configuration down, and during that time I had unsecured entry into my network. When it finally pulled the settings, I could then try (multiple times) to get it to upgrade the firmware. At some point, it finally decided to reboot and update itself. This leads me to why I've had to return it. No matter what I did, using the horrendous Nebula interface, I could not get it to allow communication between wireless and wired devices. It forces isolation on and forces the use of VLANs, so there was no communication between devices, and I couldnt find a way to disable it. I tried to get standalone access one more time, using the credentials set by Nebula, and I still couldn't get in. Trying to reach their support forums just ended up in a redirect loop. I'm returning this and will be looking for a dumber AP with no cloud management bloat.

Expensive but does the job well
I purchased the Zyxel True WiFi6 AX1800 Outdoor Access Point with the primary intent to eradicate the persistent dead spots within my home and garden, and it has proven to be unswervingly reliable. Although it is designated as an outdoor product, I positioned it in the loft, a location arguably subjected to more rigorous conditions, fluctuating temperatures being one. Remarkably, the device has maintained optimal functionality without necessitating reboots and has showcased impressive throughput. With over 20 devices concurrently connected, the marked contrast between this access point and a standard ISP router is evident, with the former manifestly outperforming. The range is exemplary, extending its signal impressively, enabling connectivity halfway down the road which is a notable achievement. While the initial investment is on the higher end, the longevity and sustained performance of the product render it a sensible acquisition, especially considering its utility beyond ISP changes, making it a sound investment over a 5-year period. In summary, for those struggling with connectivity issues and seeking a robust, enduring solution, the Zyxel True WiFi6 AX1800 is a commendable choice, offering reliability and exceptional range, though it does come with a premium price tag, its performance and durability justify the investment
