I originally bought this pillow to help with alleviating my GERD symptoms a little less than a month ago (though to be honest, I'm not sure how much of a role it's played in helping that. I will say I do find that I don't wake up feeling like my esophagus is on fire quite as often now), and so far it's been a very nice pillow to sleep on in general. There was a bit of an adjustment period, though, as I got used to sleeping on it (you may sometimes slide down a little if you tend to move a lot while sleeping, and it may be a little too firm if you tend to prefer softer pillows). Once you get used to it, however, it's comfortable to sleep both on your sides and back.The pillow expanded quickly after removing it from its packaging (but it's warm where I live, so your mileage may vary), and off gassing was minimal (there was a bit of a smell at first, but only lasted the first night for me).Cleaning the cover it comes with is easy, there's a zipper on the back and all you have to do is slip it off the wedge, the opening is big enough to pretty easily slip the cover on and off. After the first wash, the cover may shrink a little (mine did), but it was very minimal and it still slides on and off easily (follow the care instructions to minimize this; cold wash on a gentle cycle, tumble dry on low heat). The cover also comes with little side pockets, one for use when the pillow is horizontal, and the other for when the pillow is being used vertically.I am 6'2" and purchased the 24*24*8 wedge, and positioning myself with my head resting at the top of the wedge has the thinnest part of it stop around mid-back. The thinner part of the wedge is also the softest, so it's not uncomfortable to have it stop there (I don't notice the transition from wedge to mattress at all).Overall, I'm satisfied with this pillow. The price isn't too high compared to some of the others I've seen on here and if you like pillows on the firmer side and prefer to sleep with your upper body slightly elevated, this is a pretty good option.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting to have to wait 24-48 hrs for the pillow to fully expand but when i opened it, it completely expanded and was ready for use in less than 3 minutes! Also, no odor! I’m very impressed with the quality as well. Great price, great quality, and comfortable. The height isn’t too high for me, as I’m used to being elevated (GERD is a pain in the butt). It’s firm enough to where I don’t sink into the pillow while it still being comfortable. I’m sure this is great for an abundance of things as well

I only gave it a 4 star because technically it’s hard FOR ME to lay on it that way without a (flat feather) pillow because it gives me a headache. Otherwise it helps my back and shoulders and keeps me from moving to my sides. Soft, looks good, great value for the money. I’d purchase it again

A wedge pillow was suggested by my allergist so I went right to Amazon. With a coupon and my points I was able to get 2 beautiful, practical and comfortable wedges for me and my husband for $51! They came in the usual speedy manner but had to sit for 3-5 days to expand to their proper size after being shipped in a much smaller box. We finally tried them out. Lying on my back, it was very comfortable but quite high, good for the allergy. However, it was a little odd trying to lie on my side and, unfortunately I had a sore neck in the morning. My husband cancelled his trial and put the wedge on the floor instead. Very disappointing for my purposes. HOWEVER, it was not the wedge's fault. I could have just tried to get used to it, especially since they came "shrunk" and there is no way to return them. None of my friends took me up on my donation of 2 wedges used in 1-night trials. Neither of us likes to read in bed, but it would most likely be good for that. That's the reason for my low recommendation is not for the wedge, but for our lack of ability to try it out first. I'm sure they would receive 5 stars if I had learned how to use them.

I’m having back trouble this does help. I did stack pillows to do what this does. Works much better. If you’re doing what I’m doing be sure to measure the stack of your pillows to get the right height.

This product provides support for a person recovering from surgery. It has a good degree of firmness while also flexing to accommodate your body. Great sleep aide
