This race car is a lot bigger than I had imagined it is three times the size of any of his current car toys. It is easy for toddlers to hold and wind back. Once you wind up the car it takes off with some speed and it is very well constructed, it has crashed many times on hard objects and it has yet to break or loose a wheel. It looks just like the race cars on nascar which is what initially got my little ones attention ! This is a perfect toy for any car loving little one.

This large pull-back race car is a winner. Has a classic throwback look, beautifully designed. It is heavy in hand and glides across our hardwood floors like a dream. Three comments: 1) the price is high; 2) gratifying to see a toy that doesn't need batteries or flashing lights and is still a hit with the kids; 3) you're going to want another car to race against! I’ve heard great things about the quality of brio toys but hadn’t previously experienced any. This definitely was not a let down! I didn’t notice how big it would be so that was the first shock - definitely worth the price they sell it at. I was really impressed by the quality of the packaging as well, the box is sturdy and looks great and I think it would make an impressive gift. It’s a nice combination of wood and plastic and has a vintage feel. In the era of overstimulating electronics and flashy toys for kids, I love the simplicity and solid quality of this pull back car. Definitely feels like an heirloom toy that’ll last a long time. I’m definitely now looking into grabbing even more toys from this company. Very fun and engaging for kids too. Would definitely recommend!

This race car is well built and glides really smoothly. It doesn’t have that annoying friction noise when pulling back to make it vroom. The hood area has a piece of wood on top. It’s very secure and doesn’t seem like it will come out, but I always worry about splinters with wood. The wood isn’t that smooth. I wish they would have just done plastic instead. Overall, great car that seems like it will last a long time.
