I bought this book largely to practice my Spanish. It turned out to be very engaging reading in its own right.The book is less than 300 pages and covers centuries of history, so it goes without saying that much material is covered very superficially. This is especially true of the period after 1920. Nevertheless, I found it a good introduction to Mexican history and I want to read more.
