I also add it for them in any possible stressful situations. After losing a few to rehoming I decided it was actually cheaper to buy a bottle of this. Not to mention returning to the pet store with dead fish. You can actually see them calm down after applying.

Stress coat is my go to aquarium water conditioner. It is so good for the fish. Its keeps them healthy.

Great Product - but
I've used API Stress Coat for years. It is the best product on the market for treating the water before adding new water to the aquarium or while transferring fish. I subtracted one star from this particular order because the packager failed to make sure the lid was on tight and some of the product leaked out (see photo).

An absolute must have for any Aquarium Hobbyist
Did my 2nd filter change (didn't have it on hand for the first one) and my fish were noticeably happier. The quality of the bottle is sturdy and I love the fact it comes with a measuring cup built into the lid. I highly recommend this. I also recommend if its your first time using something like this for your tank to do a double dose the first time.
