Has helped a lot
I’ll start off by saying I know nothing about hernias. This is my second. The first was an abdominal one. Fixed with no issues. This one however is in my groin. I’m really not liking it at all. I wasn’t sure what to look for in a support or what to avoid. I don’t know if I was lucky or if all the supports are like this but it’s helping. It’s still uncomfortable but this brace is some help. It came with 4 removable pads to apply pressure at a specific point. I’m glad they are removable. It was very uncomfortable and a bit painful with the left pad in place. I only needed the pressure on the left as that’s where my hernia is. It got to the point that it seemed to be more painful with this brace than without. I removed the pad and it helped a lot with the pain. The thickness and support without the pad seems to help and not hurt me. Still uncomfortable but the surgery should fix that once it happens. What I’m saying is you will need to adjust the brace to your needs. See if the pads help or not. In my case no extra support from the pad is needed. You may be different. Next is the straps. They are thick and padded. A bit too thick to be really comfortable but for the tension that is needed thinner would be worse. I’ve tried crossing them and not as an old jock strap is. Neither way is better. It just depends on the day I guess. I have my appointment with the surgeon in about a week. Not looking forward to this but at the same time I need this fixed. I hope my explanation helps with your concern and choice. If you are needing one I feel your pain and hope for a fast recovery. I’d give 5 starts if it wasn’t for the feel of the straps but I don’t see how that can be fixed nor do I want to have to use one of these braces long enough for it to be fixed or changed. Good luck guys.

Doesn't fit right according to their sizing chart
It does fit under clothing and isn't bulky (unless you add the extra pads that come with it). However, it is a bit scratchy if worn under clothing over underwear. It also BARELY fits according to their measurements. The band that goes around the hips fit with only about 1 inch of material overlapped when closed, and it felt tight. This garment of course is designed to fit snugly but too tight it can cause pain. If you want to be able to wear it over clothing the size chart is not helpful or you might want to go up a size (or two?) Be forewarned that they don't allow returns if it doesn't fit or for any reason even if you didn't try it on.Would try the next size up but am worried the straps that wrap under the pelvis might be too long, so am gonna go with a company that allows returns!

Good product
I at 67 have contended with a right side inguinal hernia since 43. It appeared for no particular reason. I have never had any intention of surgery. I am an inventor have used all manner of belts, spandex shorts with half a coconut shell from a costume bikini, sliced off 1/2" on flat side. Filled it with small round dollar store push on light. Placed all in a ped sock and placed dome side in over herniainside of compression shape wear. Plus a variety of belts, some good, some meh. There isn't much effective info or products geared to women with this affliction. When I first purchased this belt I only used one of the good sized for me, velcro backed inserts, not the belt. However due to the ongoing experimental nature of dealing with my situation I finally used the belt with one insert. To my surprise this belt far exceeded my expectations. I use a medium. The Velcro is strong, the construction well stitched. It lies flat. The straps are not too long. The only thing is to wear looser trousers or leggings under long tunics or long shirts to avoid the outline of straps around bum cheeks. This provides support and keeping hernia pushed in and stationary. The most effective belt I have acquired thus far. I wear it overThin slip shorts and yoga shorts. I just purchased another khaki model. The medium is smaller feeling then I remembered. The belt will stretch over time but remains useable. The insert can be repositioned as necessary. I could add more padding of my devising as necessary. First belt is over 1.5 yrs old. Has held up marvelously. If a hernia requires attention this is the best most affective belt I have come across in the 24 yes of learning about and contending with my hernia situation. I will be trying the single, right side black model in near future. This is a well made product and fairly priced.Good luck if you have hernias as your particular thorn.

Good, comfortable support.
Prior to surgery, this helped a lot, and was about as easy and comfortable as a truss can be. After surgery, they recommended using it for another month. I appreciated the ... support.
