Does the fabric liner keep water from leaking thru like the plastic liners when keeping the liner in the tub during showering?

It depends! Can water get past the fabric liner when the showering. Yes "sometimes... if" the conditions are right. Here's the deal. I have two genuine Hookless shower curtains with fabric liners. One is in a hanging in a 4'x6' shower stall. The other is hanging over a standard 30" x 60" bath tub. Whenever we take a shower in the larger shower stall the floor is never wet when we get out. However, whenever I or anyone uses the shower over the bathtub, the floor is always wet upon exit. FACT: In this case, the leaking has nothing to do with the curtain being not being tucked up tight against the wall or leaking where the tub edge meets the wall. I was in the bathroom one day when my wife was using the bathtub shower and I noticed a light mist coming thru the curtain! If you ever camped outdoors in a tent in the rain you can relate. If its a light rain you stay dry but in a pouring rain storm the water hits so hard it can actually splash "thru the waterproof tent fabric" and you get wet. NET: "If" the fabric liner is in close proximity to the water being sprayed or splashed off the body it has enough force to penetrate the fabric and get your floor wet. When we're in the shower stall we are always a good 18" from the liner but when we're in the tub were are only "inches" away from the liner so both the splashing water and water exiting the shower head have enough force to splash thru it. The fix for us was to use the fabric liner in the shower stall and one of the PEVA plastic liners in the tub shower. TIP: If you hate or can't stand plastic liners, you can "treat" your "fabric" liner with a waterproofing spray, something like Star Brite Waterproofing Spray also available here on Amazon.

I have 2 sets of these at home, my question is do this mildew and mold up after a few months? both of mine have, its ridiculous for the price to mold.

Hi so today my husband sprayed Zep mold and mildew cleaner on the bottom of our liner where it totally has mildew ( summer time we get more issues ) and within an hour the liner was white as snow and looks brand new!!!
