The best item to start with
This is a great device not only for seasoned Home Assistant users and the like but for newbies as well. I love that this thing is light, a motion sensor and an illumination sensor all in one! There are so many cool things I've done with just one of these just to start with as a newbie Home Assistant user. For example: I have a this setup as a nite light in my bedroom. I've made several automations with this one device.1. If I'm at work (a specified time range) and (if ) the lamp is off (it's always on if I'm off work and home connected to TR 15a plug ) AND motion is detected it sends me an alert on the home assistant app on my phone from home!2. If it's 12-am to 6am and , the nitelite is off, the lamp is off and motion is detected the lamp turns on.If the lamp is turned off BUT the nitelite is ON and IF motion is detected the nite light increases brightness 50%...Then After 60 seconds if There is NO motion the light slowly resets itself and fades back to the original brightness! So cool!

Great all-in one Zigbee PIR device that works well
Was looking for a good/reliable Zigbee PIR sensor that I could use to trigger a nightlight among other things. This works GREAT for that. Perfect for use in the master bathroom for late night visits as well as hallways to provide a little illumination only when needed. Love that it can also can sense existing light levels and that the built in LEDs can be set to different colors as well as different brightness levels. Very versatile device! Bought 3 of them! Using one with my home automation setup (Home Assistant) to trigger when my cats enter the litterbox enclosure so that after a minute delay and when no more motion is being sensed/detected, it can trigger my automation setup to fire up my Zigbee powered outlet plug to briefly turn on my ozone generator that's sitting next to the litterbox, letting it run for about a minute in order to kill/neutralize all the bad odors - and if it senses any further motion, I have my setup turn off the ozone generator immediately and wait till things are clear again. Very flexible device that can serve all kinds of indoor automation uses.It has been very reliable for me and is really nicely designed.

A bit disappointing
This one looked really good on paper, however there are a number of things that are disappointing. First, the speed isn’t great. Compared to other Zigbee and Z-Wave PIR sensors in my home, this one is probably the slowest to respond. Still under 1 second, but it is a noticeable delay. Next, there’s effectively no customization of its behavior available. It’s not possible to change if the integrated light activates on motion, change the sensitivity, or other typical motion sensor things like clear time.Really the biggest deal breaker though is the reliability. Occasionally it will just get stuck in a motion detected state. If new motion is detected, it will clear, however this is a really noticeable issue with its performance. It’s not a network issue as I haven’t seen this issue with any other devices, and it’s directly next to another Zigbee router that’s never had any issues.

Excellent routers, so-so nightlight...
Pros:* Simple install and adoption with Z2M.* Rock-solid router, actually managed to improve an already very strong mesh.Cons:* The default, out of the box, configuration for the night light and motion sensor are lackluster.Locations:* Kitchen counter by the fridge* Top of the stairs* Entry to a living room* Basement corner by a walkout doorTechnology Environment:Home Assistant OS virtualized on Proxmox. ZigBee2MQTT running alongside HAOS. A single SMLIGHT SLZB-06 as Coordinator and two SLZB-06 units as primary routers.Experience:Effortless to install and get adopted into my mesh. These replaced a couple of smart plugs, also from THIRDREALITY, that had been strategically positioned to strengthen the mesh. Those plugs will be downcycled into other automation projects. Mounted at normal US outlet height, the "night light" features are less than stellar, producing a semi-circle of light with a radius of ~4-5 feet. For the areas where we used them they are enough to make sure that we are not tripping on any of the myriad of toys the children leave scattered. Under the out of the box configuration, the motion sensor features leave a bit to be desired, as the detection radius seems to be about double the light radius at ~8-10 feet. These maybe just barely clear the hurdle to justify the additional expense over another device with a built in router. I have some ideas to use the LED color during the day as a status or indicator light for other automations; if those pan out, the value proposition of these goes way up, and I may give these another star. However, if you are really looking for night light functionality, and do not need smart / automation features beyond a simple motion-activated night light, then you really should look elsewhere.

Nice nightlight and motion sensor combo.
The motion sensor is reliable and can be used to trigger automation. The lights can be controlled by automation. In the case that your hub fails or becomes obsolete, they would still degrade into a nice nightlight. There's no batteries to change and the power supply is its own module, so you could use reuse the usb charger at some point. Third Reality publishes firmware updates through home assistant, which is cool. One caveat is that you can't disable the nightlight coming on when it's dark and there's motion. That's baked into the firmware. Not a problem for my use case.
