Simple Way to Smoke Meat!!
I use this smoking tube to COLD smoke RAW meats. Very simple and easy to use, especially if you use a culinary torch to start the pellets in the bottom of the smoking tube to start with. The tube filled 3/4's full will produce smoke for 3 to 4 hours or as long as needed for up to about 4 hours. You do not have to fill it up all the way if you are not inclined to use it for that long. At least one full hour of smoking time for most meats seems to be a good minimum time for nice smoked flavoring in and on your favorite foods (however the longer the better). I blend hardwood (always food grade) pellets (such as mesquite and oak or hickory) and fruit tree pellets (like apple or cherry) together in equal amounts with pecan wood pellets, mixed together and then used to fill the smoking tube. You are a culinary cook starting with the blend and type of pellets used even before you start cooking with heat later on!! I have successfully used this described method of smoking meats using different types and cuts of meats (beef and pork). Meats both pre-seasoned with rubs, etc., and without any seasoning at all (until time to actually cook the meat in the oven or on the grill, etc.) and I find that the smoking tube is a great tool for enhancing the quality of the taste. There is no cooking heat imparted to the meat at any time during this particular smoking process, therefore the smoke ring inside the meat is deeper in both look and taste than anything I have experienced previously in nearly 45 years of cooking and eating smoked meats. Remember one extra thing too about these smoking (food grade) wood pellets, keep them dry and out of humid areas. They absorb moisture just like charcoal and neither do well in cooking when left out to absorb moisture from the atmosphere. I keep both out on the back (covered) porch in a small galvanized metal (clean) trash can with the lid closed down tight. Happy cooking!!!!

Perfect smoker for what I needed at a great price
Great smokerProCompact. (All items fit in the included bag.)Produces a decent amount of smoke (I didn’t blow out the flame like I was supposed to the first time. After helpful comments to my question here other Amazon users gave me the advice I needed and it now creates lots of smoke.)Burns for a long time. (Over 3 hours when it was about 60-75% full.)Perfect for converting a grill into a smoker. (Those like me, who don’t have the option to get a large expensive smoker, this is a perfect alternative.)ConNo instructions (The box had no instructions inside. Helpful users on Amazon gave me answered my questions.)

Perfect for cold smoking!
Can't remember if it came with instructions or not, being a dude I figured I could figure it out on my own and I was right. So easy to use no instructions were necessary. Pulled it out of the packaging, loaded it up with wood chips, and lit it on fire. Within minutes I was cold smoking some pork belly I had cured. Absolutely recommend this for all your cold smoking needs. Will try it in the future on my gas grill and adding more smoke to my electric smoker which has a rough time making a good looking smoke ring.

Great Smoke Tube!
Works great! Added pellets to the tube and lit the open end with a propane torch. I smoked a roast on my pellet grill and it definitely added more smoke flavor. Full tube of pellets lasted my entire 2 he smoke. You can see in the photo how much smoke it puts out and how much is left after nearly 2.5 hrs lit. I would say that it would probably burn for 3.5 hrs.

Perfect for cold smoking.
This is perfect for cold smoking. Produces little heat but a lot of smoke for over 4 hours. The design of the tube keeps the tube in place and doesn't roll around. Very good price and includes a cleaner brush.

Avid smoker! Thought I would try cheese and fish. So far I am currently smoking two cheese logs in my smoker. From my research a 5 hr smoke followed by a 2 week vacuum seal will yield best results. Lucky that smoke only last about five hours. Only critique is the initial lighting is complicated.

Works as advertised
Good for smoking in a regular grill. Won't make it a 'real' smoker, but gets the job done without much hassle or tending. Well worth the money.
