Ultimate Immersive Experience
I finally upgraded my TV lights and decided to try this Lytmi Fantasy 3 because it works directly through HDMI instead of my old govee camera based system. Amazing! This is the bright, accurate color and instant response TV bias lighting I’ve been waiting for all this time. I love a good immersive experience and had to put up with the shortcomings of the system I had before. It worked with a camera you mount to your TV and was incredibly distracting. With the Fantasy 3, it just works! Pretty cool that it has 4 HDMI inputs, so I can use it with my FIrestick 4k Max, Xbox, my PC, and room for one more. This totally blows away my old system that had an annoying delay because it had to pick up the image through the camera and process it. That would always take me out of the experience. This new Lytmi unit is literally instant, the background lighting is seamless with anything being played and can handle the fastest scenes and on-screen action. It legit looks like a pixel-perfect extension of the screen. We watched a few movies to test it out and actually jumped when lightning flashed or an unexpected explosion because it was in perfect sync with the video and audio and lit up the whole room. Another bonus of this upgrade is the color accuracy. With my old system, the camera had trouble picking the right colors depending on the scene and especially depending on the ambient lighting in the room. It didn’t work well in the day even when we closed the blinds. With this unit, it’s all done digitally directly from the HDMI video signal, so it works perfectly day or night. And the colors are always spot-on and match the video way better than I thought possible. Setup was easy and the Lytmi app is simple and easy to use. You can also do music-responsive lighting or ambient lighting effects and because it’s so bright, it really creates a great atmosphere in the entire room. I tried it with all my video apps, Xbox, and PC and it worked perfectly. If you’re a hardcore gamer and absolutely need variable refresh rate and automatic low latency, I just saw that they have a version for a few bucks more if you need those specific premium gaming features. Otherwise, it works great with our Xbox and we had fun playing with a more immersive experience. Overall a great system and a huge upgrade from my old lights. The Fantasy 3 has 3x times the number of LEDs, so it’s super bright (and adjustable if needed for late-night movies). It’s got 4x HDMI 2.1 inputs, so it can handle any UHD video. It’s even got a feature that really seemed like any system should have had, it automatically turns On and Off with your TV! I know that sounds simple, but it’s a great feature that makes it effortless and part of the whole system. Great system. Highly recommend you experience it yourself.

A great device that adds immersion - EDIT: Updated review after 3 weeks
Updated review EDIT: The LED strips are incapable of matching a wide array of different colors/shades within the "white/kelvin" spectrum, making the lights more distracting than immersive during all well lit scenes. I frequently shut it off now due to this issue as It now stays off more than on. I have returned it for this reason. Maybe their next version will have a higher quality LEDs? Also, the sync box not having a physical remote means that every time you want to change input sources you have to open the Lytmi app on your phone. There's no way to control or change video input selection via voice/assistant controls. The only other option for changing sources is to press the physical button on the sync box, which is far from convenient. Lastly, the USB C extension cable failed. The lights would strobe and the only way to stop it was to plug the cable directly into the sync box, with the extension cable. So if you do decide to purchase this, ensure you take the time to measure. Original review: It took my son and I about 45 minutes to set this up. My TV is wall mounted so we had to remove it from the wall, install LED light strip and rerun all of the HDMI cables. Getting the Lytmi app setup on my phone was straightforward but connecting to the device was a little finicky at first. The lights perform really well. They make watching movies and playing games much more immersive than they already were. My only piece of advice is that if you have a larger television that is wall mounted, you may need to purchase a USB C female to USB C male extension cable, as the USB C cable that is attached to the LED light strip you install on the back of the television was not long enough to make it to the Lytmi connection box. For reference, I have a 77" LG and the conduit for the cables are located in the center middle of the screen. The cable that comes pre-installed on the LED light strip was almost 5 ft shy of being able to be properly run through the conduit.

Turns any TV into the center of the experience
Transforming my living room’s atmosphere with the Lytmi Fantasy 3 Kit has been one of those small but significant tech joys. From the very first moment, the experience feels much more immersive: the LED lights follow the rhythm and colors of every scene on my TV, making a simple movie night or a gaming session truly come alive around me. My Xbox Series X looks spectacular with these lights. Positive points: Installation was straightforward All the configuration can be managed from your phone The system perfectly recognizes each HDMI input, so I never have to worry about losing picture quality The fact that it works with voice assistants makes the whole experience even more convenient The Lytmi Fantasy 3 Kit turns any TV into the center of the experience, and honestly, I can’t imagine going back to watching TV the old way anymore.

Enhance your gaming or viewing experience
I've been looking for a dynamic backlight for my big screen tv for a few years now. They were either too expensive or too cumbersome to install. The Lytmi Fantasy 3 looked like it finally met my criteria. Pricey, but not unaffordable and looked like an easy install and setup. The install actually went much smoother than I imagined. And after connecting everything and loading the app, it was immediately working. The light responsiveness is fast. Do not notice any lag. The only things I wish were a little better: I would actually like it to be even brighter (I have it set to max brightness already), and the colors don't always match very well with what is on the screen. Otherwise it works great and I'm happy with the purchase.

Very cool, when it works...
Bought a Samsung qn90c TV and thought this would be a fantastic addition to the new TV. Previously had a govee setup with the camera. Well, the product was easy to install, everything worked out really well. At first this seemed really awesome, the colors are bright, and seemed to be very true to what was on the screen. Now to the not so great, after the TV is off for more than a few hours, it's as if it loses the signal from the box. The only way for it to recognize it again, is to reset the box by cutting power to it. My TV is mounted above the fireplace, so this is horribly inconvenient. If I am not home, my family calls and says the TV isn't working AGAIN! They are not tall enough to reach, and shouldn't have to grab a ladder every time to watch TV. They (my family) went from loving the cool lights to hating them. Long story short, we had to reset power every time we wanted to watch TV (we mainly use firestick), since it's a pass through setup. Also the connection for the led strip is junk, when we did have it hooked up, the lights went all crazy and it turned out the connector was not fully seated. Upon figuring out that was the issue, the connector was reseated and just slightly wiggling it made the lights go crazy. We no longer have them hooked up and it's a useless piece of crap behind the TV now. It seems there is no customer service from Lytmi unless you buy it from their website. I have sent numerous emails just hoping there is a solution, with no response whatsoever. I guess leaving an honest/negative review is the only option I have at this point. Waste of money, and SO frustrating...

The sync function only works if your tv is connected to an external HDMI source.
I was extremely excited to find this product because it has automatic light sync without a camera. It uses a sync box. As I was installing it, I read the note that an external HDMI source is needed for the light sync function to work. My TV streams cable from my network without a cable box. I don't have an external HDMI source, and therefore no light sync. I'm quite disappointed about this. Surely there's a way for the sync data to be transferred from the TV to the syncbox. Meanwhile I guess I'll just use it for the back light. The back light is quite nice, and it can be set to turn on and off automatically when the TV is turned on or off. Except for the light sync issue I'd give this product a solid 4 - 4.5 stars.

The Good and The Bad and The Orange TACO 🐔
Pros: - Decent amount of LEDs per meter - Plug and play, it just works! - Plenty of HDMI ports - Fast response time, zero or undetectable lag Cons: - No HDMI CEC, this could be a deal breaker for many - Software is MEH, no where close to the features of GOVEE - Poor SmartThings, Alexa, and Google integration, only basic functions (on/off, brightness, color) - Not RGBW Notes: - Automatic HDMI switching is hit or miss - You cannot turn on the LEDs unless the TV is on and there is an HDMI signal going through the box. Comparison: fancyLEDs ambient TV LED systems: - Fancy Sync Box (HDMI 2.1 version) and Synced Fancyleds (RGBW): These typically feature 96 LEDs per meter. - Fancy Sync Box (HDMI 2.0 version) and Synced Fancyleds (RGB): These come with 48 LEDs per meter. Govee AI Sync Box Kit 2: The upgraded strip light in the Govee AI Sync Box Kit 2 boasts 75 RGB LEDs per meter. Lytmi Neo: The Lytmi Neo (specifically the Fantasy 3 TV Backlight Kit) states it has 72 RGB LEDs, 28 chips per meter. Summary: The Fantasy 3 or Neo sync box was the top gun for a long time, so it was forgivable that it was severely lacking in the mobile app features. However, now that GOVEE has its own sync box and fancyLEDs has brought RGBW to the table, the Lytmi has some tough competition. The lack of HDMI-CEC could be a major deal breaker for many TV owners.

Almost perfect.
UPDATE: The device CONSTANTLY interrupts its own signal flow when starting up. Sometimes it will resolve itself after numerous seizure inducing strobes, displaying a pure green video signal, or just displaying a black signal (not off). I suspect it might have something to do with eARC or attempting to pass through an HDR signal on boot. But whatever the case, I'm currently bypassing the box until I see that this issue can be resolved by Lytmi through updates. If not, I'll be just as happy to toss these. The LEDs are very bright and can typically reach color parity with the source content, all of which is very nice. I've paired these lights with a 77inch OLED and a Chromecast (GoogleTV). Brilliant pairing. It's almost perfect. However, the finer points start to fall off depending on the content. SDR content works flawlessly. When viewing an HDR or Dolby Vision source however, the colors of the LED tend to drift into colder, less saturated colors. 'white' turns to a VERY blue white. Black edge colors on the screen can result in a dim grey. Again, this is really only apparent when viewing non-SDR content. It does dull the experience. The ability to either manually tune a white-point would be a very nice addition. Either that or a better, more accurate decode of non-SDR content that produces a more accurate, saturated color into the strips - something a software update should be able to manage. Speaking of, why does this thing need WiFi access? I suppose there's an ecosystem for Lytmi products, but I have zero interest in that. A Bluetooth controller would have been more that sufficient.
