Very good info on anxious attachment

I really like the book because it was written from a personal perspective it seems. The book was very informative and interesting. The only thing it lacked was a workbook or any kind of questions to go through but I was journaling alongside reading the book so did get a lot out of it. Would highly recommend

Helpful, Easy Read, So Understanding

This book was so good and incredibly helpful! It was such an easy read, and everything just clicked into place! I loved how it discussed coping and self love! Would 100% recommend to anyone struggling with anxious attachment or someone who has a partner who struggles with this, because it will give you a great understanding of what they go through!

So helpful!

This book is super helpful as it breaks down symptoms and possible root causes chapter by chapter, from childhood issues to adult situations. I liked the exercises it included to help manage the anxiety. It's a great intro if you're looking to make some positive changes in how you relate to others.

Some great things to think about, but...

I appreciated the strategies on reducing anxiety, but became frustrated with the communication style quiz on pages 104 - 107. There were only four questions, each capable of earning a maximum of four points, However anything less than 17 -20 points was not considered an assertive communication style! Hmph... ya' can't win! The book still has valuable insights, but it is clearly a first edition... could use some revision.

Helpful exercises are included to improve confidence and security. This was an informative introduction for understanding and healing anxious attachment patterns. The tools make it engaging for new readers.

Amazing book I highly recommend

I realized towards the end of 2023 I was living with an anxious attachment style. I felt very lost on where to start rewiring this aspect of myself and stumbled across this book. Reading this made everything so much more clear. It was laid out in a way where I could clearly understand the concepts presented. I feel like I have a much better grasp on how to handle this part of myself and where it's come from. This gave me a lot of talking point to bring up with my therapist so I could dive deeper. I can now recognize my anxious attachment not only with in my current relationship but with in my past ones as well. Everything this book has to offer has been implemented in my thinking and has allowed me to understand a lot more of myself and how to navigate relationships.

Caring and Eye-Opening

This book can certainly help you become aware of your own challenges with attachments, but it also can help shed light on previous (or current!) relationships that fell prey to these issues, either on your end or on someone else’s. If only I knew then what this book teaches now! Do yourself a favor and educate yourself for your own betterment and to more fully grasp others and the “whys” behind puzzling behaviors.

Awesome book... so helpful

I loved this book so much, even if - as someone with anxious attachement style - it can sometimes be very confronting to read. That being said, I deeply know that struggling with this problem without having the words to speak about it, or the tools to overcome it, is a lot more suffering. I've heard the term "Anxious Attachement Style" before, but it was only getting on the surface of what it means. Before reading this book, I was still pretty confused about it. This book goes deep into the subject, says straight up without judgement, and give you tools to 1- accept and forgive, and 2- overcome it. Thanks to the author, I'm so glad I've picked it.

A very helpful, easy to read book by Alejandra Nogales that really helps provide insight for people who are impacted by anxious attachment. Whether it’s you, a partner, a family member or just a friend, this book helps to provide perspective and understanding. Definitely recommend.
