Both of these turned out beautiful. Finished each in a week and sent them to friends. Instructions were easy to understand and there was plenty if thread furnished. Was a quality finished product.

This is a super easy project and good for a beginner ! I will say that there were a few spots that were a little tricky because there were so many overlapping colours but overall an easy project !

I got this starter kit, but then realized it's not cross-stitch but proper embroidery, and that I needed to go back to basics and practice first, as I used to embroider as a child but have forgotten. This is a little advanced for the total newbie, I would say, although the instructions for each stitch are very well illustrated in this kit. I am working on a different practice kit first that teaches every stitch, and then will start on this one. I think the butterfly design is lovely and appreciate that each one has its own hoop. I'm looking forward to getting back into needlework!

So of course, I would love to include a picture of the kit completed in this review, but that will likely take several months or more so I don’t have that.I am an embroidery novice, and have done almost nothing embroidery related ever. I do like cross stitching, which I guess is still needle work, but it’s not quite the same. So, when I saw this, I figured I’d grab it and give it a shot.I really like that this kit comes with everything you need. Obviously, the thread, instructions and cloth is standard in kits, but in a lot of cross stitch ones I’ve gotten don’t come with a frame and tend to come with one needle. I don’t understand how, but I am very good at breaking needles, so I appreciate the extra needles, and I appreciate not having to go find an extra embroidery hoop before I can even start.The instructions are pretty clear, and I don’t really have any questions as I start the kit, so that’s good. I do appreciate the pictures that show every step. I do know some minor techniques, such as the French knot, from my cross stitching, but I had to learn that through text and eventually a video because it wasn’t clear in the instructions from that other kit. So, it being clear in this one is good for beginners.The butterfly pattern is cute, though I have a feeling it will take quite a while to actually finish, as it is actually pretty decently sized. The pattern on the cloth is stated to be washable, which if it actually is, that will be really nice, as when printed stuff shows through it tends to look a little funky.The thread and cloth both seem to be pretty decent in quality, the needles don’t feel like they’re gonna break immediately, and the hoop seems like it’ll work for a while. Overall, it seems like a good little kit, and a good way to spend some time.

Was supposed to have two kits and it only one incomplete kit. Package was cut open and almost all of the thread was missing.

Please NOTE: these are not cross stitch kits, I can't see a single cross stitch on either of the designs.Also NOTE: that the last picture in the listing is tweaked as they are only about 8" across in the hoops while the photo makes them look like they are about 18-24" inches across. You can hang them on the wall if you like, but know that they will not be that big nor can you make them that large withou a lot of work to enlarge the design.I love butterfly motifs and these are great. Unlike many other embroidery kits, these ones have a hoop for both designs so that you can hoop both of them in matching hoops to hang them on the wall. Most of the stiching of these are satin stitch, a stitch I need some practice on for sure. I especially like the colors of the pink butterfly, and why not. Pink is one of my favorite colors. I am thinking of switching out colors of the blue and yellow butterfly to have it be in colors I like more. I have plenty of embroidery floss to do this with.I appreciate the opportunity to make up these designs. Thank you.

Does not have any needles. Instructions are difficult to understand. Comes with two kits but only one hoop so you have to buy additional hoop

I sent this to my mom directly from Amazon since she's liked to do embroidery over the years & I thought these are such beautiful butterfly patterns! She said they're a bit more difficult & involved than another "beginner" embroidery kit I sent her from Amazon (which she also felt a couple of the designs in that beginner kit would also be a bit difficult as well for beginners to embroidery...since some "more difficult" stitches were included.)So just know that apparently how easy/difficult these "beginner" embroidery kits are, all depends on personal preference I guess & how much time/effort you wish to put into them, & whether or not you have any experience in embroidery, sewing, etc. It seems they may not always include instructions for every single stitch that you'll need to complete the items. So just be aware of that...that if you're completely brand new to embroidery, that you may have to practice first to learn some of the stitches with other beginner kits, or may have to look up some of the stitches online, or have an embroidering friend show you, etc. :)My mom has been working on completing this set of butterflies & seems happy with everything that was included in the set & she said it was a very pretty set of butterflies. She's been doing embroidery for years & has experience doing it & has her own embroidery tools, etc...so even someone with experience in embroidery can enjoy doing this set as well! :)

Kept the other half quiet so can't complain 😄
