I love this lamp! It's not perfect, but I love it and think it is a fair match to the price. It is big - the base is wide and the tubes are thick - about 1" thick. The shade is 20" in diameter. It has a very strong presence in the room. It has great light output from the top and bottom of the shade. I have two 60W bulbs in it and it lights my living room with a pleasant, ambient glow. Its sockets are rated up to 150W. The design is very modern without being techy or hard. It is very simple and serene but has a soft, natural quality to it. The bronze finish is a little more red than bronzes I've seen - it's more like the color of coca-cola but it's pretty. The shade is very nice - beige background with a tan linen weave over it. It's pretty stable for being a lightweight lamp. What makes it not perfect is that the finish and weld joints are not 100% smooth. There are a few pockmarks in the finish but they are so dark that you can't notice them unless you're right up on the lamp looking for them. Since it is lightweight construction, it doesn't want to stand perfectly straight but the feet are adjustable to make it level, so I'm fidgeting with it to get it right. I'm also having trouble getting the shade to sit perfectly level, but it's not badly off. Overall, I think the design is very cool and pretty and the quality level is equal with the price.

I had searched for a large drum lamp shade for a long time when I came across this lamp, so I purchased it for the shade - it was just what I needed. Passed the base on to charity.

I love the look of this lamp both online and actually in person. But the quality of the construction is terrible. One of the legs was not completely welded to the central frame and just snapped off. This might just be a random mistake, but when you buy something this large online, and with the difficulty of sending it back (re-packing into the box is IMPOSSIBLE) it is simply a loss. I can't afford to buy this brand again with this type of quality and recommend others do it only if you are a gambler....you MIGHT get the good one.We are hoping some metal glue will keep it together if nobody touches it....sigh.Update: even worse than expected. The chains used to turn the lights on and off - more garbage quality. One is now stuck "on" and the ore just snapped off.DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND.
