Easy setup Plug & Play Well Worth the Price
Easy to use right out of the box just hook up hdmi or RCA cables and play. DVD’s play clearly. Several months later I’m still trying to figure out remote. You must point the remote directly at the player. Buttons are very close together which is difficult to use with big hands/fingers. Unit is a bit noisy when changing programs NOT during playing of dvd’s. I bought this because I can use my UK and US CD’s. I love BBC sitcom’s and can get UK versions of ‘Complete series’ for many times a quarter of the price of the US sellers. Doesn’t made sense considering they have to ship allot further BUT. I’m thinking of buying another of this DVD players as a backup. I’ve played at least 40 DVD’s so far with no problem but gee, for this low of price…..Definitely a great buy!

Multi Zone
This thing is incredibly cheesy but for a little over 30 bucks plays practically anything !(Not Blu-Ray compatible)The machine makes no comment about region or zone, it just starts playing or goes to the first menu. The remote is teeny tiny and horrible, the machine may magically turn itself on after a power failure, and strange noises sometimes happen. 30 bucks solved the region/zone problem and 3 years later it’s still cheesy and working.

Very good for the price
My player actually stopped working after about 6 months, initially I did not realize I could get a replacement but in fact it comes with a one year warranty. The seller sent a new one which also (for now) works really well. For whatever reason, the video playback is better than in more expensive all-region players we have tried. Other players had bad/jittery framerate on UK DVDS such that it was impossible to watch for people with photo-sensitivity issues. This player did not have that issue.----------This seems like a well-made DVD player. It works as advertised, playing both US and UK region DVDs. It has play/pause and stop buttons on the machine itself, which is handy if you have misplaced the remote. There are some slight cons - the remote has a rather strong plastic smell to it, the remote buttons are arranged in what I find to be a particularly confusing and non-intuitive manner, and it seems when you press the "time" button on the remote it just displays the word "time" on the screen rather than actually displaying the time elapsed or time remaining. (Edit - it seems it displays the time on the player itself, I did not realize this at first)

Faulty. No picutre on screen Lampoo LP-099
Horrible design with an HDMI output that only works with SOME levels of HDMI but does not work with the HDMI input on my TV. I have several devices (other DVD players, Playstation, Xbox, ROKU) and these devices all work perfectly with the HDMI connector on my TV. But this Lampoo LP-099 will not put any picture at all to the screen.I tried different HDMI cables, different ports on the TV: Nothing works.DVD's go in the slot the buttons on the player all work and light up. The remote works and interfaces with the unit perfectly. You can see the time numbers counting up, the DVD is playing just fine. But there is no picture on the screen. Either the HDMI port on this player is faulty or it is the wrong spec of HDMI type. Now I have to take time off and go send this non working thing back.I would suggest you buy a reputable brand multi region DVD player and avoid anything made by Lampoo.

NICE LITTLE PLAYER
I bought this because, for some reason, my DVDs are not playing at all. I cannot use the remote control to scroll through a DVD to pick the section I want, especially with workout videos. I figured I needed a new player, so I got this. I had it hooked up very briefly, only to discover that the same thing was happening with my workout DVDs---I couldn't use the directional arrows on the remote to scroll through to the section I wanted. (Also, my cable box kept shutting off, but that's probably because of how I had the player hooked up.) The picture was fine and clear, and the remote is a nice size. Right now I'm still using my old player until I can figure out what's going on with my DVDs. Otherwise, this is a nice player at a great price.

Cheap and Works well on US Region 1 and British Region 2 disks.
Had to buy cheap all region DVD player to watch Region 2 series I wanted. Both series and player work well but had to figure out the odd menus on the DVDs. Plays both Regions (1,2) I have for testing. Cheap but I won’t be using it all that much so it’ll probably last. If I decide to get other non-region 1 disks I can watch them! If I end up getting some non-region 1 Blu-ray disks I would have to buy a region feee Blu-ray player but I went with this first with DVDs only. I wanted to see how it works: works great! Just inserted the disks and it worked with no problems. Even a disk I had made from home movies.

LP-099 M/R DVD Player
LONPOO-099 Multi-Region DVD Player is worth every penny until it fails (which is about 9-12 months). The first one I bought was working great until about the (9) month-mark. The power mysteriously shorted out and the “disc eject feature” failed. Luckily, I had no dvds in the player. Being a electronic handyman, I decided to open up the box. I discovered the power connector to the motherboard was scorched and the rubber band controlling the “disc eject” had broke. Trashed the player and bought a new one.Prefacing my current experience: 2023 was a busy year for me, I wasn’t home for much. When I was, I would watch my Chinese martial arts or K-Drama dvds.Today, decided to continuing watching whatever dvd i had currently in the player. After finishing it, I went to switch it to the next disc. To my amazement, the “disc eject” feature failed to operate as intended. The power was good. Manual and remote control of the “eject” feature was no good. I decided to open up the box and, yet again, the rubber band controlling the “disc eject” had broke. But with this unit, I also noticed that there was some kind of “sticky substance” all over the electronics, even in areas where substance shouldn’t be. Poor craftsmanship. My conclusion: For the price you pay, its worth it. Be ready to replace it after about (9) months to (1) year if you use it almost everyday.
