Amtech T1140 4 Digit Combination Padlock Black

I bought this padlock for the gym and it does the job well. It's not the sturdiest of padlocks and I wouldn't entrust it to anything very valuable, however as a deterrent to criminals in the gym it does the job perfectly.

Lasted less than a week. Very flimsy mechanism.

I bought this padlock for use on various lockers when travelling. It has been absolutely brilliant - quite heavy duty and fits on all types of lockers that I used it on. The padlock works by choosing a set of 4 numbers which I found useful as there is no key to have to worry about losing when you're out and about.

I bought 6 of these to secure lockers at work. Upon receiving them, I attempted to change the preset combination. Although the instructions were easy to follow, the padlock would not depress into the slot that allows it to be changed. I thought this might be a flaw with one, so opened another. Exactly the same problem! It's no good using a padlock on the preset "0000". I didn't bother opening the other 4, just immediately printed out the return slip and boxed them up.I was in a hurry when I bought these, and only saw the 5* reviews (as they were at the top of the list). Shame on you Amazon, there are double the number of 1* reviews (at the time of writing) so why did none of these show up?!

Cheap and durable lock, I know own 3 of these in which I use to keep my shed and other bits secure.

Good lock, but a bit wobbly and numbers sometimes move too easily so as you're hooking it on the numbers are moving by the slightest touch.

After reading the instructions at the back I had no problems setting a code for my padlock.I've been using it for a while now and it works perfectly for my gym locker, it's big enough and seems strong enough.

Thanks to other review, had no problems in setting unique code. You do have to press down hard on the shackle but once done, the lick works perfectly. Only used for low security (school locker) - don't think it's terribly robust but fine for our ness.
