Keys don’t match
Please look at the picture. It shows you get two lock cylinders and two sets of keys....This is because the locks are not keyed the same, they sell you two different locks.Who though this was a good idea?Returned the locks

Different key for each lock. Out of spec?
I got this for lock sport, some are mad because these do not use the same key, but it works for me. One lock has tighter tolerance, my SC1 lishi tool does not fit. No security pins, just standard pins (5). I picked both easily. I will rekey and put some spool pins to make it more challenging.Edit: Cannot be rekeyed with my key pin kit, the core is out of spec. This has its own specs.

Brass Mortise Door Cylinder Lock, 1 Inch Length Keyed Standard with 2 SC Keyway
Great quality lock cylinders!one of my hobbies is lockpicking so I love to acquire locks of all different types. Mortise lock cylinders are especially useful to me because I have practice tools that they screw into to make holding them easy to be able to practice lock picking, so needless to say I'll never pass up an opportunity to try them out! It also allows me to have multiple that I can install several different security pin variations without having to constantly change them to practice with. The quality of them is fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were not keyed alike! Not only that, but most locks that you typically get come with zero security pins installed. Simply standard pins. I can have a lock with all standard pins open in about 5 seconds flat (not kidding). I have not removed the pins from these yet to see what they contain, but I can tell you there are security pins installed in them, which is very, very nice to see! That gets a huge thumbs up from me! They did give me a little trouble picking them. Granted most break ins are not going to be perpetrated by a lockpicker, let alone one with much skill. Most likely they will just force a door open; however, it's still nice knowing that your locks contain security pins which would stop an amateur lock picker in their tracks.Overall, I can't recommend this two pack of Mortise Lock Cylinders highly enough! I have had the opportunity to try out a few different types of locks now and I'm happy to say that these are the only ones thus far to contain security pins! You can sleep well knowing that if you purchase and install these lock cylinders that they will be offering a very high level of protection on any door you install them on!

2 nice mortise cylinders, keyed differently
We have commercial properties and replace these types of lock cylinders quite often. These seem to be of solid build quality and have smooth operation. Schlage SC keyway is one of the most common and you will be able to easily make additional copies of keys at a local hardware store. The 2 locks are keyed differently so you get a distinct set of keys for each one even though they are sold as a 2-pack.

I got these for pick practice.
I got these locks not to install but as practice locks for locksport. I have yet to take the cylinder out, but it does seem there are some security pins in place, although I was able to get them both open with a simple rake. The bitting on the keys is actually pretty good, unlike some cheaper locks I've gotten. The construction seems pretty good as well, but I did notice that the springs are exceptionally noisy which leads me to believe they may be weak and will fail sooner rather than later. However, at the moment they work splendidly and I can't complain at all. Definitely a good replacement option for those needing it, and a decent challenge for locksport hobbyist, as I still can't get them consistently.
