There was not enough yarn provided to complete the kit. The needle that is supplied is very low quality and not fit for purpose.

Ran out of the peach coloured wool for harrys head

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to a beginner. I was actually asked to crochet this for a novice who had bought it and given up on it. The pattern starts from the bottom up, which can make it tricky, but worst of all just as you are nearing the end you will run out of yarn to complete the head! If the pattern had been done with a separate head that you started first, you could at least do the arms in a different colour-but now i will have to modify the pattern myself or bin it all together! This isn’t a cheap kit, and the materials are not great quality, you could at least make sure there was enough yarn!

Very disappointed with this crochet kit. I bought the kit for my 15 year old Grandaughter who is a great fan of Harry Styles, and she was looking forward to making the doll. She is learning to crochet but found it almost impossible as the crochet instructions are all written in USA terminology and there is no conversion table to help. UK and USA terms are very different. I have been crocheting for over 50 years, teaching all levels of this craft and even converting the UK stitches to USA stitches I found it difficult to follow the instructions … so I’m sorry to say I think it should have clear it is for experienced crocheters only and also that it is written in the US terminology. Nice idea … pity about the instructions.
