Q: Anyone using it indoors with proper ventalation ?

The problem with this burner for indoor use is the output. Normal consumer grade kitchen appliances, both propane and natural gas, do not have nearly the output that just one of these burners has, because they simply do not burn that much fuel. A typical range has a total output (all 4 burners running) of about than 60,000 btu, +/-. All fossil fuels, including propane , natural gas, methane, etc., consume O2, and give off CO, you simply can't get around it. Commercial grade gas appliances that are used indoors typically have much higher outputs. However, they must be accompanied by a certified ventilation system, that vents to the outside. While it's admirable that you mention "proper ventilation," how do you know what proper ventilation is? Bottom line; the manufacturer puts warnings on these products for very good reason. Not only does it attempt to cover their backsides from a legalistic point of view, it is actually there to prevent you, or anyone else from causing themselves or others unnecessary harm or death.

Q: Will a 15 pound propane tank work

It sits on the side so any size tank would work ok as long as it has a current connection fitting and not the old style.

This has no timer or any automation. Turn on the gas, light it and set your desired heat. When done, turn it off at the valve/ heat setting and turn off the gas supply... then EAT
