Easy to find in the clay mess.
I hated the feel of my old one with wooden hands. This is much nicer and easy to find in my water bucket.

Best investment for potters!
I purchased one of these when I first got my pottery wheel several years ago and it is still holding up. It is very durable and reliable to cut clay with and also to remove your piece from the pottery wheel. Cutting tool out there.Great value for the money.

Easy to use and doesn’t hurt my fingers!
I’m so glad I decided to buy this wire. I was previously using a cheap wooden one, and it was much more stiff than this mudtools one. This one is way more flexible and cuts my pieces right off the bat with no struggle. Love it

Great cutter
Great sturdy cutter. Easy grab on tool. Highly suggest. The curly cutter causes a lot of air pockets in clay

Correction and Apology
Am very disappointed with this Cutting wire. It is NOT, as previously reported, a Mud Tools item. I am a professional potter and I have a variety of Mud Tools that I use regularly because they are reliable and of consistently high quality. My Mud Tools cut off wire cut off tool is in keeping with the quality of my other Mud Tools. The cut off wire that failed is from another company entirely (Xiem) but it mimics the appearance of the Mud Tools cut off wire and I failed to make the distinction which is absolutely my fault. As I posted previously, I managed to get 3 months use out of this inferior cut off wire before it frayed so badly that I had to retire it. The plastic coating on the wire began fraying after one month and continued to deteriorate from then on. The Mud Tools cut off wire equivalent features no such plastic coating on it and is far superior to the Xiem.

Best wire cutter!
This is a must for serious potters. Cant even tell you how many cheap wire cutters I’ve purchased so far so trust me when I say you want this as part of your tool set. The wire will not fray and won’t cut you if that ever happens which is what happened to me and it hurts like a mother. You get what you pay for so invest in this if you’re going to use a wire cutter.

Your'e favorite tool
Yes, you can wait for the clay to pop off the bat. Or you can use this cutoff tool that I have now repurchased three times over the past 10 years. I trust it, the handles help you from slicing through your skin when the piece is stuck. You always have a great grip. 100% recommend adding to your tool kit.

Seems like it will last longer than the one with the wood handles. Pleased so far!
