i really like this laser
using this for a laser spirograph project - the case is sturdy and beam is plenty bright at low voltage - bonus for my project is that running it at 2.57v it'll flicker giving a nice effect to the spirograph design

Good Laser, No Strain Relief
The laser is nice and bright however, first thing you do, unscrew the front with the module attached from the black body and put a knot in the cords and replace the housing to prevent direct pressure from any pulls on the solder joints.

1st DOA, second worked for 2 minutes but the color was pretty
First one was DOA. Second Laser won't turn on at all until 5V. Running at 5V it was only 30mA and generated this dot which isn't too bad. the color is more blue which is kind of unique but the overall quality is terrible. this is the tightest pattern I could get from 6' away. Going up to 5.2V and 60mA it ran for about 2min before it gave up the ghost. Overall build Don't waste your time.

Great thick beam quality
This light beat out 5 other lasers at 5mw testing. Some ranged up to 30 dollars. Very thick beam 3/16 inch. No overheating witnessed. This laser Company is currently my supplier for my laser component.

Not very bright.
Not even half as bright as my cheap green usb laser pointer, which also says 5mw. If my usb pointer is 5mw, then this seems more like 1 or 2mw.
