Originally gave a bad reviews. Now I understand it and love it.
New Review:Small, cute design, serves it purposes in the Los Angeles area.I was struggling with making this work, as it would stop and I could not turn it back on. They should mention this in the manual and on the product page, but this unit has a temperature sensor that will makes the unit stop once it reaches the desired temperature, saving energy. Every time you turn the AC on or OFF, it will stop for 3 minutes, to help give longevity to the condenser as well, which I am sure is a good thing. In COOLING MODE, after you reach the desired temperature, it will not turn on again for at least the 3 minutes to save the condenser longevity, and until the temperature rises again. You can either set the temperature lower, or change to DRY MODE to make it run, but remember the DRY MODE is the DEHUMIDIFIER mode, which will create more water. The unit also has the FAN mode, which will only blow the air inside the room. The unit is very symmetrical and small, like all others, it has the standard large hose blowing air outside (I wish they would make a smaller one and sell separately), very clean, and it is obviously noisy, but not like many other units out there.I use for my bedroom, in Los Angeles, and it is honestly enough to cool it very well and VERY quickly. It evaporates the water automatically, so no need to dump it. BUT REMEMBER, I live in Los Angeles, which is not too humid.Over all, I was worried about this, but so far, I love it, really do. It seems to have decent quality, so I hope it lasts for a long time! I will probably only use it for about 1 month out the year and put it away, but so far, I am loving it.Original Review:First of all. This is pretty small, beautiful, but the bad reviews are true.Unit turns off completely every 5 to 10 minutes. Will not turn on again for 20 or 30, no matter what you do. You can plug it off and back on, reset, press all buttons. The compressor will not work again for 20 to 30 minutes. It only works when it wants. It will work for 5 to 10 min, then turn off and will not turn on again for another 30 minutes or so... it varies. Terrible.FAN and DEHUMIDIFIER will work, but NOT the cooling AC. Seems like it is by design. I did not believe it, so I purchased it... but not YOU BELIEVE ME, the 10,000 BTU works this way. Dont make the same mistake I made, dont even try it.

Does not work properly
*** UPDATE- The seller refunded 20% of my order for the issues, They did offer to return the item, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning it***This is for a 600 sq ft room, I bought it for a 200 sq ft room, it is a rectangle room so should have been able to cool it nicely. It may lower the temperature in the room a very small amount but not enough to notice, this is with running it for hours. The only reason I gave it two stars is that it looks nice.

Does its job, nothing special. Isn't quiet.
It's an air conditioner, so it provides cool air. it's a less than 1-ton unit so if you're expecting it to cool a massive room then you don't understand AC sizes or haven't done enough research. This thing is loud, and not as quiet as they make it sound. Also it claims to have extra features like a "swing" feature, however the blades are manual only so this is misleading. It only has two speeds, low and high. I wish it was quieter, I have certainly had other AC's that are quieter and can perform just as well. Yes it's not going to be whisper quiet, because there is a compressor after all, but this thing KICK'S on and hums. The "low" speed fan feels more like a high speed on my normal oscillating room fan.For the price I expected more for what this offers and what was advertised; I would have expected to pay about $100 less for what I received. But it works, and I guess I can't complain too much during a hot summer. It is compact which is a plus.

Temperature sensor is useless
Tldr: If you want your room to be a specific temperature, don't buy this unit and if you do, don't expect help from the manufacturer.I really wanted to like this unit. I had another before this, and this unit has a MUCH better window vent setup. The sensor in it is inaccurate though, and the manufacturer is claiming that is to be expected. I specifically bought this unit because it can be set as low as 61°. I need a cool bedroom at night to sleep, which is the whole reason why I use these units. Rather than cooling the 3600 sq ft of my house to that tenperature, I just want to cool my 400 sq ft. bedroom. Even when it was 50° outside, this unit would not cool my room below 65°. It would shut off. Most nights, it barely even would turn on, and when it would, it would quickly shut off. Then, when it was time to use the heat function, it WAY overheated my room to anywhere from 65-68°. Not only is this too hot for me to sleep, but its also wasting electricity.I contacted the seller/manufacturer and they said this was totally normal and offered me $30. This was after they in fact did acknowledge it as an issue by asking for pictures of my unit setup. After a back and forth, with me always having to aggressively remind them that I would win a credit card dispute due to a faulty product, they finally said I could return the item for a full refund. Every email was worded as if they were doing me a favor. In their last email to me, they said:"We do not provide repair services. Normally we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund directly without returning the machine if the machine is defective. However, your machine seems to work normally (although you didn't agree with that), therefore, we prefer to arrange a refund once receive your return."This is ridiculous. So now, I have to try to find a box and padding to send it back, against their usual policy, because their unit completely ignoring the temperature set is considered normal operating.
