Satisfactory Purchase
This was a very satisfactory door cage mail collector and well worth the money. The only fiddley job was fitting this large item to the door with the screws provided. Make sure there is enough space round the door so that it can be opened widely. The cage is good quality, attractive, strong and fit for purpose. I recommend it.

It does what it says on the box !
The cage is quite large - so you need plenty of room to allow you to fully open the door with this fitted. If it had brass fittings it would be 5 out of 5..... the brass coating isn’t perfect in places, but it’s a letter box cage at the end of the day - the dogs not happy though! He really used to like that game of shredding every letter as it popped through the door! Not a problem now .

I’m cagey about giving this 5 stars.
Very good size and well supplied with fittings for door mounting. Note the ‘back’ ie part facing the door has no grid. If you are fitting the inside of a flat door it will be fine. Mine couldn’t be fitted flush due to being mounted over a window frame so letters slid out the gap without modification. If you are fitting this to prevent a dog shredding your mail you may find the grids are large enough to allow your dog to grab the corners of envelopes and packages. And chew them off. I needed to fit a smaller grid to the base to prevent this good product very big just check your own location carefully. Ideally big flat door to allow flush fit, high up out of dog nibbling range. Allow enough room for your door to open fully!

Quality item
I found this to be sturdy and it fixed easily to my wooden door. The dog has no chance now! It comes with rawl plugs and long screws or self tapping which I used. I did not even need to drill pilot holes in the door. 10 minute fit if someone holds it for you. The width is a little over 30cm so it fits over a 1 foot slot nicely. Lid lifts smoothly. Great item.
